Jeff, I’m a 74 yr old man and had the wonderful privilege of seeing the group perform a year ago in Wabash, IN. It was a 1500 seat venue with great acoustics. All I can say is that you’ll have a great experience in November. I’ve seen a lot of concerts in my 74 years and I can honestly say theirs was one of the best!
I woke up Saturday morning and the first thing I did was check TH-cam, and there it was! I watched your reaction review on Sunday. Then today I was driving and put the video on repeat. Listening to it over and over, and finally listening to Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, and H.E.R, I can say without hesitation that _this_ is the definitive version of “I Say A Little Prayer!” Honestly, it deserves to be heard by more people, it is that good.

My family and I traveled from Honolulu to Oxnard to see Leonid and Friends perform on November 15, 2024, and we were NOT disappointed. What a treat it was! They are now currently performing HERE in Honolulu at the Blue Note, and BOTH shows are sold out. They have quite the following, and rightfully so. Btw, right before Ksenia performed this song, preceeded by Superstar, they asked a special guest to stand and be recognized. It was Richard Carpenter. Talk about a moment! The audience was in awe, and the outpouring of love for Richard was undeniable. Ksenia then sang Superstar, then rolled into I Say a Little Prayer. It was my favorite part of the show. Will never forget it.

They are coming to Seattle November 1 which is 2.5 hours north of us. I should buy some tickets. I bought tickets for the amazing pianist Yuja Wang but I didn’t make it.
That vocal run by Ksenia at 3:45 is vocal perfection. Fits perfectly with the V-IV-I chord change from the bridge back to the main chorus and the backup vocals. Powerful and sounded so good. So much soul. My favorite part of this incredible performance.
Man, starting at 2:58, with the bridge verse and the rhythm/percussion interlude on the "Answer my prayer" riff, and then back to the main chorus. Simply magic! Leonid's arrangement is so full and rich and Ksenia's soaring vocals along with the full backing vocals. Powerful and moving. It really stirs your emotions!
Saw then in concert earlier this year. They are an amazing and fun band, and Ksenia's vocals are the cherry on top of the cake. Met them afterwards and found them to be a really nice friendly bunch of people. Had my picture taken with Ksenia, a beautiful quiet spoken lady. IMO this is one of the best band of musicians to come along in ages. They take all of their songs to the next level. These guys should be superstars.
I don't think you were the only one who was shocked when hearing this for the first time. They are the best group I have ever heard. Their musicianship keeps hitting higher levels.
Truly outstanding! The short double time break just before the reprise was great. As usual, Igor, Connie and Leonid laid down a solid foundation for Ksenia the rest of the vocalists to really shine. What a group!
I love watching Jeff’s reaction to L&F’s performances. His amazement matches my own when I hear these fantastically talented people breathe life into these classic songs. Ensemble live recording is not done by anybody except these guys. To pull it off at this level is unmatched. BRAVO

I saw Leonid and friends in Naples, Fl in 2019 and will see them again in Des Moines, Iowa on October 10th. I completely agree with you regarding the arrangement and her ability to just knock it out of the park. I saw it on TH-cam five hours after it was released and I have to confess…..I cried!
Ww saw them in St. Charles IL when they opened for Danny Seraphine and he blessed them IMHO . Saw every year since. Ksenia performed this song last month at this venue 1st time live. She nails it.

The wife and I have followed them since 2018. We have seen them live several times now and they never disappoint. We did a cruise with them and several other bands and because we said we were there to see them we got a private unplugged concert from them.

I was also only five when this song was originally released, so I've heard it my whole life. The breakdown caught be by surprise when I first heard it, but Ksenia owned it. I think it might be her strongest performance. Just when I think I can't be more impressed with these guys, they make me reevaluate that.

Jeff, a friend of mine turned me onto L&F last year. I had been watching their performances when i accidentally found your channel. It is an extreme pleasure to watch you during and after a performance. Im a couple years older than you, but I wish to say that you’re spot on when talking about the feelings and emotions of our youth brought by listening to L&F. This is especially true relative to their Chicago performances as they are my all time favorite. This band has given me so much pleasure in the past year. Ksenia’s performances, especially this particular one, are outstanding. YOUR reaction to it made my day!!! Thank you for all you do. much appreciated.
