🤘🙏🤘 I’ve got the 2003 gs430 w/ 165k miles. Original engine mounts still there. Vibrates Ever slightly when at a stop in drive gear. No vibrations while idling at parking mode. Ya think it’s the engine mounts? I figured engine mounts probably need replacement anyway with the car being 21 years old. Thanks in advance and great video! -LL
@@NolanMotorsports thank you for sharing this video im currently purchasing a 03 gs430 and its being told to me that bad motor mounts is the reasoning for the knock sensor code poping up on my check engine light… do you think bad motor mounts can cause a knock sensor to go off ?
Were you getting a clunking sound plus the vibration? I have an 04' 430 and im hearing a clunk every so often when hitting steep bumps or leaving/entering driveways.
How did you get the power steering pulley off? I have a 3uz so it might be different but I think it's press fit on there and I couldn't move that thing
Jam the pulley with and extension where it’s touching the metal behind pulley firmly and a 17 counter clockwise turn will loosen it as long as it doesn’t spin
@@ryanblackshire3874 well yeah that's for the bolt that is threaded onto the shaft but the pulley itself is press fit onto the shaft and I couldn't get it off
Yoo total gamechanger. I've got a 99 SC400 I might have to do this to in the future. Added to my garage Playlist 👍
Go for it! Now that I know this can be done relatively easy I'm recommending it to everyone
@@NolanMotorsportsdid you get a knock sensor code due to your motor mounts being bad ?
Work smarter not harder🙌
You got it! I hope this helps the DIY’s feel more confident taking on this task!

How was it after install? I can feel vibrations intermittently when im idling, and i figure its bc the motor mounts are tired. 217k 2003 GS430
Oh man it's night and day. I still get an occasional "clunk" but this is coming from the rear end. I will need new differential bushings.

The clunk I would think is a suspension sound, hard to diagnose over the internet though.
Will this be the same procedure for the 2000 GS300? How did you get the power steering pulley off?
thanks
The wire with the small amount of dark red where does that go? Mine is disconnected and I just bought the car can’t trace it down.
Needed this🙌🏼
I was pleasantly surprised to find an easy way to do this. The subframe removal was a bit extreme.

Are the part number the same for left and right? Is there any other mount at the back or just two in total? 🙏
Yes I believe they are the same part numbers 👍
