Your teaching is legendary! When i got my asvab study book the math sections weren't that much of a help. After watching your videos I realized how much I didn't know and how easy it is to learn it. Thank you Grammar!
Nfbautrey Hey man I just saw this reply, my meps was down actually on my test day. Decided to go on vacation and got some bad news regarding my enlistment into the Corp. I was DQ from them due to a medical record. Heading over to the Army to work on a wavier and still gotta test with them as well.
AWESOME VIDEO this was for sure on the asvab!! now ik how to do them all in just under half an hour of really focusing on this video!!! i failed the asvab by one point into enlisting and i have to go retake it on the 27th of this month and i will surely pass and make u proud by passing !! and proving that your videos really help... Keep up with the good videos!! can't wait for tomorrow's video!!

You’re videos have truly helped me to understand math way better then before! But I was wondering what basic math principles do we really have to remember in order to pass the Asvab?
That's a good question, Kristina. On my channel, there's a playlist called A Review of Basic Math Topics for the ASVAB. While it's not finished yet, it covers 40 of the most common topics that show up on the ASVAB. Here it is: th-cam.com/video/jBDsubye5XY/w-d-xo.html By the end of July, that playlist will include all of the topics that show up on the ASVAB. Good luck!
Grammar Hero My apologies I meant Arithmetic principles. An I definitely did go on there of course but I was wondering how many AR principles does the Asvab really have or show.
Grammar Hero Thank you, and what would you say is the best way of practicing you’re videos. I usually stop at every question solve the problem and keep doing it.
@@kristinacassell Yes, that's what I recommend doing: Pause the video, attempt to work out the problem yourself, and then play the video to learn how to solve the harder problems or see the solutions.
Honestly, I probably went into too much detail in this video. Instead, I would focus on learning about factorials using my newer video: th-cam.com/video/9984oHrpAMo/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=GrammarHero Tip: Everything in the playlists on the homepage of my channel has a high likelihood of showing up; all of my other videos are old/supplemental material.
Question... Are the yellow thumbnailed videos Arithmetic Reasoning Specific and the Red thumbnailed Mathematics Knowledge specific??? I'm thinking in my head you color-coded the differences in subjects so that it would be organized and understood but I just want to make sure. and a great video on factorials and permutations, it's sad to say i didn't learn this in high school, and the fact I didn't learn these along with other topics in algebra kind of uuuurks me because some of this is all new to me when this would have been very helpful in my college classes. great job on the videos
For the most part, videos that have yellow backgrounds cover topics that often appear on the Arithmetic Reasoning subtest of the ASVAB, whereas videos that have red backgrounds cover topics that often appear on the Mathematics Knowledge subtest of the ASVAB.
@13:27 I thought when your dividing your supposed to cross out the factorials, or is it because it’s in parentheses with the 2!? Or is it just different from the regular factorials
You'll probably see at least one question involving a factorial, and if you're doing really well, you might see a problem involving a permutation or combination.
Grammar hero theirs some questions I would like to ask(1) n^3(n^3+n^2) (2) factories 12/8 the reason am asking you question is this in MEPs I wrote this factorials I know is 12.11.10.9.8.7.6......1 and 8.7......1, but this not how I see it at MEPs really different because after am done with the answers check the list of MEPs option this way off. (A) 8 B 12 C 16 and I can’t remember the list one Even in n3(n3+n2) normal it’s suppose to be like n3(n3+2)

According to the order of operations, you have to do what is in parenthesis before you can simplify anything.
Is there a distinct way to know when to use combination or permutations in word problems?
This topic rarely shows up on the ASVAB, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
