Awesome! I was at Vision Expo today getting some CE hours. Fun show! I live in Vegas too.
Not even at school? In our school district they did quick eye and hearing test all through elementary school - if they didn't pass either of them the parents got a letter telling them to go to have it checked out.

@translationslenses I DIDN'T MAKE IT FOR THE LIVE SHOW. I'M HAVING SERIOUS EYE PROBLEMS, BUT THE CITY OF EYE CARE IS JUST A SHORT DRIVE FROM ME.
State insurance for vision (not mention the state) will pay for exam but there is no financial help to purchase glasses.
jeepers238 I'm in Pennsylvania and I have Pennsylvania medical assistance and they pay $150 towards frames and I forget how much towards lenses but I only had to pay $40 total towards my daughter's and around $80 for mine.
Maybe I should move to Penn. Reside in Michigan. Most eye dr.s around here require you to purchase at their business right after exam. They wouldn't give me a written prescription until I picked out frames.
jeepers238 I bought mine at my eye doctor's office but I had them give me the script for my daughter and bought hers at Walmart. They have a 1 year warranty and hers had to be replaced once already.

I see that this is about a year and a half old... but seriously? First eye exam EVER?
I will be 54 this year. I think my first eye exam was about 50 years ago.
Though I will say, my parents were not / are not doctors. Of any sort and dad would have been considered legally blind without his glasses.
(Corrective lenses during cataract surgery has changed that)
Have you had your hearing checked? That could be a helpful video as well

I got glacoma so I’m getting that weed from that OD
