Sometimes the purpose of living is merely consequential to the value. Whether or not someone gets to live is entirely up to the subject observer & all of their courses of action. It's not a matter of resting in peace, it's living with it.

Or kill multiple people. A lover's fit killing would probably get you life with parole in 20-35 years, probably the lessor amount if it was a woman who could prove abuse. I think the problem for this defendant in that country is she wasn't being abused when she shot him and the Brits hate their citizens owning guns. Even to protect themselves.
