This song is beautiful. There is a guy who sings at my church and sounds almost exactly like Charles Billingsley. This song sets my heart on fire all over again
This song is 100 times more apppropriate now during this fear crisis about the carona virus than it was during the Brownsille Revival so many years ago now!
Our choir sang this the Sunday after 9/11 and again on the 10th anniversary. By the 20th anniversary, the choir no longer existed because church had gone to modern services with praise singers and only sang non traditional music. Also music was played unbearably loud. That is why we no longer attend this church. I prefer old beautiful music and hymns and have found a church with traditional sevices.
I used to go to Thomas Road. Those people drive me insane. they just sit there and do a little golf clap after he would do a song like that. GET UP DAMNIT and give that man a standing ovation!!!!! INCREDIBLE
Scared of lifting their hands, and giving God praise..This song is great and the response is what I would expect from Baptist churches like this..but with the young people now at Thomas Road, and the College, things have changed a lot..more worshipful now..
Charles has an amazing talent and is darned funny as well. He led worship at my church for a couple years here in San Diego. My only gripe as a choir member was he was spontaneous and hard to follow sometimes... lol As for the comments about people seeming lifeless in that audience, I am quite reserved myself in church. But do not doubt for one moment that there's no passion or emotion or excitement, because believe me, it's there!
YES: THE NATIONAL PRAYER OF AND FOR ISRAEL AND THE USA. No song is more appropriate. 2 Chron.7:14. ... never have we needed His mercy and repentance MORE !
actually, the lyrics are 'If you would mark iniquity oh Lord who could stand' and you can download the soundtrack from Charles Billingsley's website for $12 i believe.
Allright Mister Billingsley...I didn't see the choir sing or the piano player play...thereforetherissss has a soundtrack!!!! You know, I watch this guy cut up and I think "what a goob"(in a good way of course). Then he goes and does this. I am convinced that good..great musicians are all crazy and have multiple personalities! (In a good way of course!)
@220chrisTian you should watch a video of David Phelps singing Nessun Dorma, then tell me he's not trained. Both singers are brilliant and have a solid foundation in classical technique. David voice is just pure genetic talent as well so he naturally sounds pure. I personally think he's the greatest vocalist alive. Not taking anything away from Bllingsley who amazing as well.
Mr. Charles Billingsley, are you a Spirit filled Catholic adn did you write this song after attending the Brownsvillle Reviva anywhere from 1995 to 2,000 or did you even attend a Brownsville servive before hte revival broke out i.e. did Pastor John Kilpatrick hear about you somehow adn invite you to sing a concert at Brownsville some time before the revival broke out? I'm asking this because if you nkow much about that revivval, God used this song and one other song very powerfully during many if not all the alter calls during tha trevival.
Mr. Billingsley is not Catholic, he is Baptist, Lindell Cooley who lead worship at Brownsville, his pastor and an associate at his church wrote this powerful song.
Lifeless church? Wrong key? First it is not a sin to make a song your own by changing the key or arrangement, we call it interpretation. Second if the people seemed lifeless...what do the mesmerized do? Or did no one notice the old people in the back corner square dancing to this song?
Man, this song is so prevalent right now! We need to sing as a collective group🙏🏼 #prayfor2020
I was asked to do this as a solo with choir decades ago. Again, this is needed.
Renew in me a clean heart; let not your Spirit depart from me. Lord have Mercy
He did an amazing job on this
SOOOO INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL...WOWWWW ❤🙏❤
is anointed...truly he sings from his heart, which is full of sincerity and truth toward the Lord.
Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
Charles is so anointed because he is a true
worshipper and because of his close relation-
ship with the Lord.🙏🏻
What a beautiful song and interpretation!!!! Glory to God!!

So beautiful 🎶💕⭐️🙏
This is my daily prayer to God.
Oh if only we all could say this daily
we would have more humility

Faith is something I think is hard to come by, hard not to believe when you see the gift this man has.

Anyone know where to find sheet music for this?

Anyone know where I can get the soundtrack for this song??? Just the music without the vocals...
Thanks in advance.
trbc.org/media/online-services/ Watch the 9-11-2011 service @37:00 I am going to try to get the audio and video somehow. Words do not express it.
Why not focus on the lyrics to be offered to the Lord, rather than the Saints in the video, and who sings the song song best?
for mor charles billingsley stuff go to charlesbillingsley dot com or trbc dot org and he sings all the time.
My fave praise/worship song...if that's how it's categorized. This from a Led Zeppelin man. ;)
Gotta find that arrangement...even better a sound track If one was made.
Does the Cieristay or however it's spelled and pronounced , is it Latin for Lord haver Mercy?
Darrell Waters Kyrie is a Latin transliteration of the Greek word for “Lord.” Christe is the same for “Christ.” Kyrie, eleison = Lord, have mercy. 😊
MCGI CHURCH.
It is "remark".
If you would mark iniquity....
(meant to say)-I don't know what's wrong with that church.
@ILovestorms Wrong key? BWUAUAHAHAHAHAA!!!! Define "wrong key" please...just morbidly curious.
bakan
