    Huge difference. The upgrades have produced a more lively, open, ringing, vintage sound. The old was not bad, but it seemed a bit too dark and compressed with less openess. Nice job!

    The stock pups sound fairly decent. You can definitely get by with them if you had to. I’d definitely upgrade that’s just me though

    Nice! It came out great, definitely sounds like a high end guitar after. Im excited i just bought all new hardware for my 2008 Epiphone g-400 custom. Got Seymour Duncam prails, Darkmoon SG electronics, bigsby B5, and the rest was graphtech hardware (pegs, tune-o-matic, nut.) I even go some new knobs and scratch plate. :)

    hello sir i have the same guitar bought it year 2017 and i would like to upgrade it. What kind of locking tuners would you prefer? also the bridge, and pickups?

    • @METALHEADDADLIFE
      @METALHEADDADLIFE  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Tuners i prefer Sperzel or Gotoh. With Sperzel's youll have to widen the holes slightly with a drill press or cut out tool. Bridge - Tonepros locking II all day. Only way to go. Pickups, - depends on the sound you want. If you want a classic rock sound either a set of Gibson 498s or Seymour Duncan SB-4's, or the Dimarzio PAF 36th anniversary set. Those sound AMAZING

    Definitely sounds better after, but I think you would have been happier just spending the $500 on a new epiphone sg. The quality of the guitar would be better and sound better. My Sg-400 I got back in 05 for $310 and I put the angus pickup in it.

      Buy used parts and order online.These people are always buying new and then they tell you just to buy a Gibson. I just picked up an epi SG junior for 80 bucks and I'll be changing tuners, pick up, cts pots and a bone nut and it wont be anywhere near that expensive

      Doesn't sound anywhere near the same. Original pickups were low output and muffled, new ones clear, hotter and cutting tone. If he switched guitars and it was a Gibson vs an epi but same build I bet youd say it was a world of difference.
