Hera himself said during one of his latest streams that Poles have the best post imperial composition and once Winged Hussars start rolling nothing can be done to stop it
The Polish spam of either cheaper knights/cavaliers or top tier Hussars really is hard to stop once it get going, and the Poles probably just have the best Bonus and UT synergy in the game. That said, I think Armenians missing good cav on their own and heavy siege definitely helped. Counter raiding with your own hussars is probably your best bet to stop the endless flood.
Daniel not going for elite skirms is like the weirdest thing ever to me: He had the upgrades anyway and they would've countered halbs and composite bowmen both while even doing 3dmg to light cav due to the Armenians lacking Plate Barding. The lack of Archer Ring armor wouldn't have mattered much since composite bowmen ignore armor anyway. Instead he tried powering through Pikemen with Winged Hussars only which seems like such an uphill battle in comparison.
That's why I am such a fan of games where players don't double down on one (or two) kinds of units but creates the most versatile one ever with different units to support the other.
What an absolute insane game, easily one of the best I've ever seen. Great anticipation and game plan by Hera as usual. He knew he lacked good mobile options and heavy siege on his own, so he stone walled his entire base and tried to force fights where he could take them, something you rarely see on Arabia. But ultimately, the Polish Flood just was too much. Mobile Counter units like camels and good Hussars on your own to return the favor to the Polish economy is probably your best bet, but you just don't have that with Armenians. Hera definitely sold himself very expensively, and Daniel had the resilience to push through. Great stuff!
Great cast like always man. I was wondering is there any chance you can cocast with membtv for Warlords? Would love to see you casting live series @castofempires
Appreciate that! I probably won't be invited to co-cast with the man himself, but I am livestreaming as many of the games as I can (either the time they're live or a few hours later).
As for the composite bowman upgrade: You get 5hp and 1 melee armor with no increase in reload time, range or even attack delay. The upgrade is an absolute joke and I don't see why they don't give it 3 base attack in castle age. 5 dmg against every unit in castle age is insane enough imo.
Great game and cast! But clearly the poles winged hussards are OP (esp. with trample damage). Amazing game from Hera to have lasted that long with the Armenians
Armenian capped ram pushing is very viable. Should have completed the stone wall around the forest. With the relic advantage Hera would have won if he had more production. The key to this game was the onager cutting past the wall. Hera went back like 6-7 times to patch it. Why he didn’t decide to completely wall off when he spent more APM in the long run we don’t know. 20/20 hindsight
I think it wouldn’t have hurt for Daniel to have had a trash army of ranged units. Maybe skirmishers? Just to help shield his siege a bit more? That said, the eleventh hour hussar spam was awesome!
⚠🚨Spoiler Block🚨⚠
this has to be one of the best games I have ever seen. Completely open back and forth clashing
yeah even the scores were so alike
I knew I had to do a community post to make sure people didn't miss it, it's THAT good!
One of the best 1v1 ever, this was amazing, your voice was just add that much more excitement, loved it all way through
Glad to hear, thank you!

They seem to be inevitable. if you could somehow get to their farms you could slow it down but that trample damage is wild.

Yes, what a Game, what a Battle! So much fun to watch! Thanks for the Cast.
Glad you enjoyed!
You were right, Isaac! I’m excited with this runtime!!!! 🤩
Let’s get watching.

Hussars spam goes brrrrr
This was so awesome, great play
I was at the edge of my seat watching that castle in the middle😂
Such an exciting game!
This is truly one of the greatest battles. Hera played really good with Armenian civ.
Epic battle between two giants!

That's an impressive walloff.
A magnificent battle.. great wall of armenia .. wow..
So much back & forth
This was a masterpiece.
Hello everybody and WELCOMEEEE
FOR AN OTHER GAME OF AGE OF EMPIREEEE
fr he gives me Bruce Buffer vibe
Haha I too one day hope to star in my very own Relax Gaming online slot game!
Love how competitive this game is
Craziest Arabia game I’ve ever seen. So many good fights and very well played by both
Epic game!

Total joke!
great game, he's come a long way.
30:49: Consiltants are important to a “degree” on historical films and period films especially when it comes to the costume department
Do the developers of AoE hire these people?
Daniel played perfect Poles, besides his micro of siege.
That was great, couldnt place it unti it was over

Agree!
To see the max villager count for each player its under the 'society' tab
Thanks!

100 winged hussars in the production queue...are we playing Cossacks now?
Haha I remember that game, I was terrible at it!

no hussars r what win the game
@@raptorhacker599 His hussars couldn't fully shield the siege units.
As far as fashion goes, differently colored legs were definitely big thing in Western Europe in 15th century, not sure about Polish lands though.
Interesting! Fashion, as always, makes no sense to me.
man
what a game
Crazy game!
That tower placed imstead of wall ant then not deleted by Daniel anoys me so much
Oh damn, time stamp?
You must remember me calling the obuchs murder jesters.
That's why
Haha yes!!
Great great game
37:30 onager teleportation 11
Omg good eye!!
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right?!
Good game
5 relics and still no chances winning. poles late game is so insanely strong
It's also the matchup. Poles almost don't need gold & Armenians almost don't have good well-rounded gold units.
Wow, underdog wins
