He also seemed to realize that she attempted to frame that girl but he's mad cause Shen Zhen dragged him into it and he wound up looking like a fool playing favorites. I meant are we supposed to believe that this teacher, in the middle of an exam(!), randomly accuses a student of cheating, stops her mid-test to search her desk, and when that is u fruitful, he then orders another student to do a *public* body search?! when I was in HS. I grew up with this girl that was everyone’s teacher’s pet. She was a straight A student because she cheated all throughout Junior High and HS. In 11th grade we had French Class. One wonders why she's a favorite with this male teacher. Just because of good grades? Comes from wealthy family who can help or hurt his career? Because she flirts with him? All it took was her looking askance at her target and he knew who to accuse. Haven't seen this drama yet, so maybe the reason is mentioned in it.
One way to avoid a frame-up is to not assign desks for a test.
Actually it was both because she was a good student AND ironically, not because she was from a rich family but a poor one
The novel mentioned that he was also from a poor background and had to work hard amongst rich students as a kid. As a result, when he became a teacher, he became determined to make sure that rich students wouldn’t abuse their privileges, and didn’t realize it actually made him biased : so he kinda projected himself on the good student, thinking she was a hardworking student with a difficult background while the other kid was a rich bully using her background to abuse her privilege

I agree. Ye Miao's statement, "Shen Zhen, you are not that kind of person" is untrue. Nevertheless, he may have been asking her to reflect on herself in the hopes that she'd see she didn't want to continue to be "that kind of person." She was incapable of benefitting from his statement, and indeed continued and remained evil and selfish. I'd hate to meet her 55-years-old version; it's scary to think what she will become in the future is she's willing to be so unkind, unfair, and persistent as a student!

What utter nonsense to distrust a class while having a test, if the teacher suspected a pupil they would be lead from the room….as so not to disturb the rest of the pupils…absolutely disgusting to just isolate one pupil out for a search, and most certainly can’t force a body search that’s pathetic!!! 😤😤 also why was the teacher shouting at his pupil like that? Is it legal to do body checks in public? And, um, how does one cheat if the answer cheat sheet is a book taped to the bottom of the desk lid? She'd have to raise the lid, take off the tape, open the book... you get the gist of what I'm saying.
Also, how can she cheat using a book that's taped to the underside of a desk?

Common for a teacher to interrupt an exam for all of his students to randomly accuse a student of cheating and when his public inspection of her desk fails to show anything he then orders another student to do a PUBLIC BODY SEARCH?! Somehow I doubt this is common. This guy was clearly biased but he was also an idiot and unethical.
That teacher is just as bad if not worse than that girl. I would sue the school and the teacher.

when I was in HS. I grew up with this girl that was everyone’s teacher’s pet. She was a straight A student because she cheated all throughout Junior High and HS. In 11th grade we had French Class. And on the first weekwe had a test. I got a B and the teacher called my parents and said I must of cheated. Even though I had a B- the previous year and this was just the first test.
My parents told the tech to GTH because my Parents knew I didn’t give a crap about my grades and wasn’t hyper competitive, I was happy getting Bs. As long as I wasn’t failing they didn’t give a crap either. I was a,ways in the top 10 percent. The teacher’s pet is the one who had the amswer key.
