    I am amazed with how much information is given and the manuals we have to read. I am a DCS type and I just bought this a couple days ago and I am stunned with the fact that you have to legit understand how to operate the f16 and that there’s no tutorial videos like how DCS does but the ongoing war you can feel as other F16s are taking off

      I read you.
      Years ago I was in different squadrons at SimHq and Check-Six. Tbe F4UT was putting out new patches and we often read the original Falcon 4 manual plus the Superpak manual with chances. Wives were not entirely happy with the time us guys spent reading docs and practicing.😅

    Be warned this is not a game per se it's a simulation, you can't just jump in and blow stuff up. To really "play" it you need to invest many hours of study time to fully understand the systems and how they work. You can bypass that and quickly fly around and learn the very basics of guns and missiles but that's about it. I never made it past that stage I don't have the desire to invest that much time in it. With that being said flying quick mission dogfights are very fun all I use are 2 heat seekers and guns. Salute to the people who do because I love watching their videos.

    *Time* tip: Hit *Time/ 6* on the ICP. Press the _increment_ switch to start a timer. _Increment_ again to pause the time. _Decrement_ to reset the timer. Useful if you want to keep track of how long you've been flying the BARCAP.

    Nice and concise! I love these kind of tutorials. Subbed. And for me, a begginer that has to fly with mouse and keyboard (using joystick emulation for the mouse) the Shift+3 tips will really help me see where my throttle is!
    Maybe you could do a quick tutorial to set up a quick guns 1v1? I think it's one of the first things beginners would want to do.

      @@dualaccumulator Oh yeah. I've already figured that out but what I meant was (on top of that) how to set up guns and a good environment for bfm, general 16 bfm tips that could help a begginer, etc.
      A lot of people could benefit from it as it'll no longer be a steeep learning curve of the software itself before you get into the actual fun, instead they'll now know how to get to the "fwooooshh... Brrrrtt" part quick.

    • @dualaccumulator
      @dualaccumulator  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ovaldreamx4397 Not to burst your bubble but guns only dogfighting isn't that important of a skill to practice, most of your fights will be BVR, and the fights that get close enough for guns you'll still be better off using an AIM-9 than wasting all that fuel for the perfect gun shot. If you allow the enemy to get close enough for guns you've made a mistake.
      The only time practicing guns a lot would be helpful is playing a campaign set in the 1970's like the oldschool Israeli campaign.
      You'll be better off practicing BVR and learning all the in's and out's of the HUD symbiology when using AIM-120's, and learning what skate, short skate, MAR and all those other terms mean.

    • @ovaldreamx4397
      @ovaldreamx4397 ปีที่แล้ว

    You can also load your previous DTC, so you don't have to set new threat circles for every flight. Then load comms and IFF as shown here, set your target points etc.
    This shouldn't mess with your flight plan.

    Thank you very much for these very useful tips - regarding the TACAN of my winger why do you add 63? how do you determine this value ?

    • @dualaccumulator
      @dualaccumulator  ปีที่แล้ว

      I determined the value from reading the manual. Theres a limited range of frequencies you can use with TACAN.

    • @herveledref636
      @herveledref636 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dualaccumulator Thanks a lot 😉

    • @Dimasterua
      @Dimasterua ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@herveledref636 A longer explanation of why specifically 63 is used for this TACAN "yardstick" is because TACAN only supports 126 channels in each operational mode. So, if you split 126 into 2, you get 63 pairs of numbers. You can then receive on one frequency while transmitting on its pair (63 apart), i.e. receive on 11Y and transmit on 74Y, while your wingman does the opposite - receive on 74Y and transmit on 74+63 = 137Y (but only 126 total frequencies so we wrap around: 137 - 126 = 11Y) and thus both aircraft are able to both transmit and receive their distance to one another. In other words, the receiver frequency of one airframe matches the transmitter of the other and vice versa. In the case if multiple aircraft on the same pair of frequencies, for instance Lead on 11Y and 3 wingmen on 74Y, each wingman will be able to see their distance to Lead, but Lead will only be able to see the distance of the closest wingman (because that would be the strongest signal).

I already changed FOV to 100º on the falcon bms cfg file, but the image seems distorted, like in a fisheye camera lens. Hopefully this'll help. IF You're not using TrackIR, Head to config and set fov to 65 degrees. That's default. In the in-game options, go to the controls page and set the fov control to mosewheel. That way you can use mouse wheel to zoom in and out. Hope this helps. Not sure if you're using trackIR though as I don't have one and just use padlocking. Happy flying, best of luck, hope this helps!

      @@alistairmartins6970 Because this game is much more operational than DCS. If you ever see a real fighter simulator that being used to train real fighter pilots by countries you would get that. DCS is for fun and this is for being in real war with more operational aircrafts, SAM sites, much much better AI and things. In DCS sam sites are like some RC rockets made by children or so shit. They can't hit a shit. But in real life it isn't the case and also in BMS also not the case. BMS F-16 is better in every way. You feel that your plane has fly-by-wire system unlike DCS. Air dynamics are much more realistic because DCS trying to balance things. DCS is more like an online game and they are trying to balance things. Making F-16 worse F-18 better in aerial combat compared to real life. Also probably most important thing is dynamic campaigns. DCS probably will never have those. People make heavily scripted campaigns but they are not really like the dynamic campaigns. Also DCS AI really sucks. They can't do SEAD,DEAD missions without being shot. They can't even go defensive against SAM's. So yeah these are reasons why people choose BMS. For some people flying a more realistic aircraft in a more realistic combat envoirement is more important than graphics. I fly in both DCS and BMS but if I want to fly realisticly than I choose BMS, if I want fun I fly in DCS in online mod. Also multithreading is good but it doesn't effect all CPU's as same and it doesn't solve problems for people who has not enough good GPU or CPU. And DCS has tons of bugs while BMS doesn't even have real bugs.
