《乌夜啼》
古人以慈乌夜啼为喜兆。
《神奇秘谱》题解云:"按唐书乐志曰，乌夜啼者，宋临川王义庆所作也。元嘉十七年，徙彭城王义庆于豫章，义庆时为江州剌史，至镇相见而哭。文帝闻而怪之，徵还宅，大惊。伎妾夜闻乌夜啼声，扣斋阁云，明日应有赦。其年更为南充州刺史，因是而作乌夜啼之曲。盖临川王之作古乐府耳，非琴操也。大概乐府之于琴操，喻意同耳。"本曲以繁促的乌啼声与平静的泛音旋律作出鲜明的对比，生动体现了紧张不安与泰然自若两种心境。

I put some guqin music to play while I study because it calms me down a lot. But I started to feel so sad listening to this, my heart is really heavy right now. And then I saw the song title and thought "well, they really know what feeling they're conveing". Although I'm sad, I feel amazed by this talent of showing pure emotions, the effort and passion you gotta put into it. This instrument is so beautiful, so intense and calm. I'm so glad I found this channel, full of talented people.
The jackdaw is a bird symbolizing filial piety. Its cries signal the return of a kin. Anyway it's a song of aspiring and hope.

After learning the real historical record , I totally abandoned my biased view against Zhou Yu and found him a deeply admirable person (as a general, as an artist, as a friend)....such a gentleman like jade. If he didn't die from a sudden illness, probably it will be 2 states instead of 3.

Hahaha. In my observation, I feel the same. And the hairpiece is beyond me. For women, the style looks like ironing boards with hideous flowers. For men, it was an absolute emasculation with a shaved front head and long queue compared to the elegantly long and top knot styles of previous dynasties.

Er spielt das Guqin wirklich sehr schön! Aber für den Hörer, der in der europäischen Musiktradition geschult wurde, fällt das Verstehen der Guqin-Musik doch einigermaßen schwer. Da ist die Erhu leichter zu begreifen.
