Two options: 1.We start work on bug fixes on the map when it goes out (hopefully next weekend) and bigger and better versions(new features, Ashlands stuff when Ashlands comes out,etc.) or 2. I work on a video series about the nerdy side of the development. Started watching Thread doing a play through, started my own play through, and now I am trying to dig up the back story on this amazing map. I hadn't heard about this project until two days ago, and have been absolutely blown away by what the two of you have accomplished! I truly enjoy playing Valheim, but after the past 2+ years it has gotten to the point that it is no longer as fun as it once was. I wish that I could go back and experience it blind vanilla again just to have that same level of enjoyment. With your map, it is as close as I will ever get to a "new" experience again with this amazing game. I am one of those guys who would love to see the technical side of how you accomplished this feat. If you were to put a video together on how you managed to put all of the features together that are so foreign to vanilla Valheim, I would be very interested in seeing the mechanics behind it. While I have played modded Valheim, the complexity of the areas you have created is nothing short of mind blowing; the builds, and the blended biomes are just beautiful. I look at all of it an just can't comprehend how you accomplished everything that you have. Thanks for making Valheim fun again, truly appreciate what you have freely offered to the community out of love for the game.

I played Valheim for a while but stopped playing i couldn't put a finger on why i lost interest was it the graphic? the building ? I couldn't put my finger on it. Then i saw your first video and it was like a light switch turning on and i could see exactly what i felt was missing from the game. Im really looking forward to playing our version as well as the 100* player version, Thank you for all the hard work you have all put in to this and i'm excited to play is as soon as possible.

This is an amazing project and you guys really put in alot of work, will defo check out the world once its available. The effort is immensely appreciated. It has been a dream for many of us to do something like this, altho some of us have been trying to convince irongate to let us build POIs to be scattered in worlds which seems likely to be entertained after 1.0 Also shared this project with an irongate dev and he thought it was pretty cool what you guys have done. Once the map is out i'll share the map with him and ask them to test it out on their free time. In the future if you guys need a helping hand especially with ashlands, I'll be happy to help out just buzz me anytime. 😊

Im going to play this as soon as this is ready. Huge fan of what you have done. Maybe next step is reaching the lvl of commitment skyrim community has? I can do some new music, and record voice acting tracks too if you need it.
A suggestion you should add some floating villages in the ocean You could have a few small villages for fishing quest along with a larger floating village for a quest where you go and fight a large pack of sea serpents with some of the new ashlands sea serpents mixed into the pack

As someone who very recently dove into modding to create a world for my friend group on our new dedicated server, I would love to see the nerdy side of how you made this world. And I am extremely interested to see how you set up the classes/quest system without a mod like KGMarketPlace.
@@kratosdertoten4035 Its more of a 'quest-light' system I would say. So yeah static tamed npcs with custom appearances. Then coded runestones next to them marked by invisible signs with yellow exclamation point. Runestones actually have a lot of text options too. So its better than we originally thought but still simple compared to AAA games of course.
@@9byte Well, I'm not sure if you're interested, but if later down the line y'all decide to make a version of this world with modded NPCs (traders, quest givers, etc) I would be happy to share my configs that I made. I have quests givers and traders specifically configured for each biome (I got the inspiration from the way y'all made a town for each biome) the traders/quest givers only offer what is available at that biome. Edit: Only up to the Mistlands, I have not made any NPC configs for Ashland's or deep North.

Thank you! No vanilla enhanced version with mods but you could definitely use mods if you wanted to. Just keep in mind that it isn't designed for it and that you might affect the experience negatively if you are just jumping over barriers, doing massive damage, etc.
This is crazy work and i honestly can't wait to play it, quick question tho, will the version coming out soon include mods or will mods only be included in a version for gothalion?
I hope you guys make a standalone game similar to DayZ/Dota/Day of Defeat did. They all started out as a mod, then became their own game within the game client. I think you guys should push for a standalone game.
Ive played quite a bit of Valheim myself and 100% believe that this is exactly what is needed by the community. i really hope some streamers come back to the game and will show off and really enjoy the story telling you are attempting. All of the previews really have fans of the game like me in anticipation for what you guys have built. Steamers and influencers need to help get the adventure map to get noticed by a greater audience.

Played Valheim back then when it released in EA. Since then, never touched again because I drowned so many hours into it already. Every update that came from the devs could make me wanna play the game again. But you, your project, this world? God damn, I want to waste days into it. It looks so juicy. doesnt even have to be linear or filled with story. just these builds in a new map 👌

When I see all those custom-made objects, buildings and locations, it's like my SOUL salivates at your ingenuity, the creativity, the work and effort put into THIS project by you guys, ...it has my hope for Humanity rising again! It's always been my dream to see this level of dedication in artists who collaborate, and I'm actually emotional about this project of yours. I can't wait to try this out! I do have one question though and it's regarding Co-op / Multiplayer. Will the un-modded version, support Multiplayer and specifically co-op? For example in this video you mention all the vanilla loot of Valheim is spread out in set locations throughout the adventure, for a single player you'd expect to only need 1 copy of those items but how would that function in multiplayer? Is multiplayer parties expected to craft their own copies as they progress? How does crafting even function in this adventure or does it at all? Will those locations hold multiple copies of the items so each player can get their own?
The loot is designed for solo or mulitplayer playthroughs. A lot of loot is just placed once which means everyone will be sharing the loot and everyone will be playing different play styles based on the current loot you can find. A solo would leave some behind whereas a big group would keep upgrading the lowest persons gear or giving items to people that are playing that items play style. There is plenty of loot though so dont worry. And some items that are given only once at first will pop up again later in random spots. There is some crafting but most items are giving already made.

I couldn't agree more. A lot of my motivation for this came from the amazing Skyrim addons that have been made over the years by players.

This is an amazing project and you guys really put in alot of work, will defo check out the world once its available. The effort is immensely appreciated. It has been a dream for many of us to do something like this, altho some of us have been trying to convince irongate to let us build POIs to be scattered in worlds which seems likely to be entertained after 1.0
Also shared this project with an irongate dev and he thought it was pretty cool what you guys have done. Once the map is out i'll share the map with him and ask them to test it out on their free time.
In the future if you guys need a helping hand especially with ashlands, I'll be happy to help out just buzz me anytime. 😊

A suggestion you should add some floating villages in the ocean
You could have a few small villages for fishing quest along with a larger floating village for a quest where you go and fight a large pack of sea serpents with some of the new ashlands sea serpents mixed into the pack

As someone who very recently dove into modding to create a world for my friend group on our new dedicated server, I would love to see the nerdy side of how you made this world. And I am extremely interested to see how you set up the classes/quest system without a mod like KGMarketPlace.
Runestones. Lots of runestones. lol And some hover text with invisible pieces. But yeah thanks for the input.
@@9byte A quick question, using the runestones I'm assuming the quests are dialog only?
@@kratosdertoten4035 Its more of a 'quest-light' system I would say. So yeah static tamed npcs with custom appearances. Then coded runestones next to them marked by invisible signs with yellow exclamation point. Runestones actually have a lot of text options too. So its better than we originally thought but still simple compared to AAA games of course.
@@9byte Well, I'm not sure if you're interested, but if later down the line y'all decide to make a version of this world with modded NPCs (traders, quest givers, etc) I would be happy to share my configs that I made. I have quests givers and traders specifically configured for each biome (I got the inspiration from the way y'all made a town for each biome) the traders/quest givers only offer what is available at that biome.
Edit: Only up to the Mistlands, I have not made any NPC configs for Ashland's or deep North.

Thank you! No vanilla enhanced version with mods but you could definitely use mods if you wanted to. Just keep in mind that it isn't designed for it and that you might affect the experience negatively if you are just jumping over barriers, doing massive damage, etc.

This version is not designed to be played with mods however you could use whatever mods you like.

I hope you guys make a standalone game similar to DayZ/Dota/Day of Defeat did. They all started out as a mod, then became their own game within the game client. I think you guys should push for a standalone game.

Ive played quite a bit of Valheim myself and 100% believe that this is exactly what is needed by the community. i really hope some streamers come back to the game and will show off and really enjoy the story telling you are attempting. All of the previews really have fans of the game like me in anticipation for what you guys have built. Steamers and influencers need to help get the adventure map to get noticed by a greater audience.

You can host and have a friend join or you can use a server hosting site and pay a monthly fee and then you dont have to host and anyone can join 24/7

Played Valheim back then when it released in EA. Since then, never touched again because I drowned so many hours into it already. Every update that came from the devs could make me wanna play the game again. But you, your project, this world? God damn, I want to waste days into it. It looks so juicy.

Seeing the work that @ninebyte has put in here *for just a video describing what they're working on* - and realizing the quality of this video is just a taste of where your actual creative efforts have been pointed - is a major CLUE as to how detailed and amazing this map is going to be!
When I see all those custom-made objects, buildings and locations, it's like my SOUL salivates at your ingenuity, the creativity, the work and effort put into THIS project by you guys, ...it has my hope for Humanity rising again! It's always been my dream to see this level of dedication in artists who collaborate, and I'm actually emotional about this project of yours.
What can I say, I LOVE you guys, and will always lend whatever skills I have - to your needs. A big shout-out to ALL those who are contributing, and those of you here who will help them TEST! ...YOU ARE THE HEROES WE NEED!

I can't wait to try this out! I do have one question though and it's regarding Co-op / Multiplayer.
Will the un-modded version, support Multiplayer and specifically co-op? For example in this video you mention all the vanilla loot of Valheim is spread out in set locations throughout the adventure, for a single player you'd expect to only need 1 copy of those items but how would that function in multiplayer?
Is multiplayer parties expected to craft their own copies as they progress? How does crafting even function in this adventure or does it at all? Will those locations hold multiple copies of the items so each player can get their own?
The loot is designed for solo or mulitplayer playthroughs. A lot of loot is just placed once which means everyone will be sharing the loot and everyone will be playing different play styles based on the current loot you can find. A solo would leave some behind whereas a big group would keep upgrading the lowest persons gear or giving items to people that are playing that items play style. There is plenty of loot though so dont worry. And some items that are given only once at first will pop up again later in random spots. There is some crafting but most items are giving already made.
