This guy is the reason god invented humans. 6000 odd years later and he finally made one right. Pretty low success rate for a supposably tri-omni deity you might say, but I reckon this song was worth it.

Dude is a legendary performer, his energy is unmatched even all these years later. Also what makes it even better is he’s one of the nicest dudes ever and truly loves and appreciates his fans.
I did street team for Dropkick Murphys at the 2003 Warped Tour so was backstage for the entire show. I got to meet Andrew and he was such an awesome guy. My friend asked if he could have Andrew's shirt and his manager said, no, that is his only shirt. At one point during the show he got in a car with some fans and went to 7-11. His manager was running around "where is Andrew". Very funny. After the show, after all the bands left, Andrew hung out with me and a small group of 5 people for about 45 minutes. Talking, taking pictures. So Andrew was the last to leave the party, partied hard until he was the last one there.
@@EquityCall why would he need another? God himself reached down and gave us Party Hard because he belatedly realised that Jesus was cool, sure, but not quite cool enough.
I agree. I remember that performance and was blown away by the energy level. This guy's 1st gear is overdrive. Spinal Tap may go up to 11, but Andrew WK STARTS at 11
Mad props to the director on this night for capturing the absolute chaos unfolding. That opening shot of Andrew's face and the quick zoom out to the band going absolutely ham is 👌
it’s a great snl performance cuz it gives you a full picture of what he’s all about. just pure physical energy and embracing everything fun about life. you take away “don’t take yourself too seriously and you can have this much fun too” from this performance.
This would be an incredible step up for SNL today. They just had the most wack performance by Kanye West and Lil Pump. It was just so bad, even by hip hop standards, which are pretty damn low especially for live performances.
They show it as an "SNL Classic" on Saturday Prime Time ALL the time because it was the first or second time Dwayne Johnson was the host. It has a permanent place on my DVR for this performance alone.
I've been to the SNL set and it's a lot smaller than it appears on TV. I can only imagine the thundering, concussive sound that night. Every bone in every body in that studio was probably warmed a few degrees just on the vibration of water molecules. Like an SNL Party Microwave.
I only vaguely knew this song, and didn't even know why....then. Along came Nekrogoblikon. They feature this in one of their songs on their album Heavy Meta... anyone who reads this....OMG. The energy brought by this guy plus Nekro....enough cardio for a week! ENJOY!!!!!
If you have sorry cuz a lot of the mainstream artists are into opiates. Opiates makes everyone lazy in the music industry these days including the Mumble rappers and drinking all that lean. It has to do with the choice of drugs these days as well but I believe Andrew WK made this song for your stereotypical house party. Cuz that's what this feels like. And that's how music should be. More artists need to be putting on their music with great energy because people will love them for that.
2022 here. AWK is still the genius in the room for his ability to walk a fine line between trained musicianship, marketing camp, and - most importantly - genuine, inspiring, fun! Love that guy!!!
I don’t know… that could be the most energy in a performance I have ever seen! That was intense…. My phone actually started to head bang! I felt that!! 🤘

This dude is quickly climbing the ladder to being my all time favorite artist (Dave grohl holds the crown Andrew is second in line) he's like the human equivalent of cocaine just a fucking amazing time the entire time he's there

His lyrics and music are so simple they are ridiculous. But it’s impossible not to love this guy. The massive amount of energy and exuberance they bring to the set overrides the “bro”ness of it all. This is Warrior's legit identity. That wrestling gimmick was just to let his creative juices flow.
Wow. 100%
With Joey Tribbiani on piano.

Watch Andrew play. He’s even more intense.
*stares in Jerry Lee Lewis*
I have seen Andrew WK in concert 4 times and he never fails to deliver.
Dude is a legendary performer, his energy is unmatched even all these years later. Also what makes it even better is he’s one of the nicest dudes ever and truly loves and appreciates his fans.
You’re damn right about that.

Calories Andrew WK's burned: Over 1,000,000.
lol
Suss Jaj it's why he'll never become obese or get diabetes, he burns calories with every move he makes
He burns even more on the SNL I Get Wet video
thinkin' if we include the whole band, it's a google plex of calories burned...
with Andrew, the drummer, and piano player, contributing about 70% of the effort...
Am I nuts to say this is one of the most energetic and ass-kicking performances ever done on SNL? I mean, fuck, this was insane to watch.
+Chris Wolff It's THE most energetic performance, no doubt about it. They could power up a whole fucking city with all that intensity.

It’s easily one of the most energetic and insane performances on any late night show, fuckin legendary.
Snl performances are so boring and safe now.

This performance’s video deserves an HD remaster. Goddam potato vision on a banger.

Just pretend you drank a jar of Dr Jerkovs c0Rn sWiLL
I still say this is one of the most under-rated performances/songs/performer of the last 20 years.
Lee Penrose For real man all of these guys are under appreciated so badly. And their music has gotten me through a lot... And into a lot lol
Compared to today’s music he blows everyone out of the water lol

And here it is 2021... and our guy is marrying Kat Dennings. Bravo Mr. WK.
That's a huge W. Kat got assests.
I sang this at a local bar’s NYE ‘21 karaoke. Half an hour later I was a member of the bar patrons’ extended family.
Most intense piano solo ever
This my friends is how you play live with intensity. Such a great band. Best lineup he ever had.
imagine watching SNL these days and seeing this kind of performance ... incredible
therealheroofthegods No way you would ever see something like this on SNL again today
This would be an incredible step up for SNL today. They just had the most wack performance by Kanye West and Lil Pump. It was just so bad, even by hip hop standards, which are pretty damn low especially for live performances.
Now you get Kanye West making MAGA statements
SNL today is for soyboys
I absolutely could not imagine a performance like this on a late night show in 2021 Lol, it would be glorious tho.
This dude just looks like he wants everyone to have a good time.
Years later as a dad this gets me so fuckin pumped lol
It is physically impossible for me to watch this without smiling. Every musician wishes they could have this much fun playing on a stage
1:43 profoundest moment in human singing \m/
My favorite part too

I remember watching this live and laughing my balls off the entire time.
The question is were you laughing with him or at him?
Im not sure exactly, i think it was a little of both
John shears have you seen his dancing? lmao
I remember watching this live as well. I was around 12 years and remember the weird al yankovic looking dude in the shorts
So let’s see if I got this straight. This guy wants to party. Hard.
i wish someone had an HD copy of this. this song changed my life.
Me too, Hobbes...me too!

The rock!? Introducing Andrew WK!? And he plays “Party Hard”!? * dies *
Greatest snl musical performance ever
This crowd has no fucking clue what they were witnessing or what's they had witnessed when it ended
We need more artists like this to bring live energetic performances. There’s not a whole lot of bands like this anymore.
Knocked Loose, Vein, Turnstile, Code Orange, Fever 333 + many more

One of the most under rated hype jams of all time!
Yeah the 90's and early 2000's was awesome for punk and rock music
Barely had any air in his lungs to sing he was jammin so hard! 🤘
best is the "Lord of the Dance" move at 0:35
More like "Lord of the Party"!
Can't be good on the knees.
This is the hardest anyone has ever rocked, put it in the history books. You could try to rock harder, I suppose, but it simply can't be done.
Fun fact: Donald Tardy is the drummer and founding member for top tier death metal band Obituary.
