- Join me and Teresita at the local orchid and plant sale held at OFE Orchid & Supplies in Miami, Florida. This fair is held monthly at OFE’s, bringing some of the best vendors in Florida to on lot. We are lucky enough to film it and bring it to your home no matter what part of the world you are at. OFE Orchid & Supplies is located in the agricultural area of Miami Dade, known as Redlands. This episode gazes at some awesome orchids being sold as well as other exotics. Also, owner Carlos demonstrates an amazing division of a large specimen brought there by viewer Joanna. This was the perfect addition to my Saturday. We’re so lucky my viewer Joanna brought that beauty to divide and share with all of us. Carlo’s was very receptive to dividing that huge specimen. He did a wonderful denomination.

Try getting it online from Tropical Plant Products. The shipping is steep but the products are very low priced. I got all my fern pots there.

I have a "Camfuria"? It grows in my garden in shade, but it does not have the colorful leaves. I keep pulling it when I weed (in error), it grows right back.
Great video, really enjoyed watching the division and how you explained the fertilizer program you use. I have a question about a new Cattleya I purchased at the Redland show, the sheath on the new growth turned yellow with brown spots, should I cut it off? I was checking the roots today & it just came out of the pot (in old bark) had no good roots so I cut the mushy ones and repotted in good media, there were some good new roots on the one new growth.
I don’t cut the unopened dry sheath because you may get a spike. If it was already blooming from that sheath, then you can cut the old sheath out.

Yes. You can spray every other day directly on the buds with Sevin until the problem is gone.

You must of seen them in passing. I will not showcase dyed orchids. It’s just not my cup of tea.

Bloom booster and fertilizer 2020 or one or the other? What about it the epsom salt?
I like to do epson salt separately on its own. 2 tsp to a gallon.
