bapsae and dope both are basically about how their generation of young adults in korea is looked down upon for being lazy or not wanting the things previous generations have because it’s quite literally impossible in todays society. Also they talk about how older people always say they had it harder and that it’s so easy for young people today but bts disagrees and means that it is infact still difficult to be a young adult. also bapsae is a bird (crow-tit) that is very small and fragile with short legs as opposed to a storm with long legs that has an advantage. it’s much more complex but my english isn’t the best but I hope you understand it okay

The song "tear" is not just a song about the breakup of a couple. This song was written during a difficult period of the band when they wanted to disband. This song is written for each other. So every time I hear it, remember that we might not have BTS right now and it makes me cry.
LOL yes we appreciate everyone who’s OT7 but you can also have those who stand out to you the most. As long as we keep it respectful and love all the members, it’s fine. As it should be in KPOP. My bias is Jimin and my bias wreckers are usually always hobi, yoongi and jk. 💜
@@EyeHeartJimin omg I’m so glad you get what I meant by that!! I love them all truly but of course some members have a hold of my heart a little more than others!!💜💜 Jimin is one of them lol!👀
This phrase translates to "If a Parrotbill walks like a Stork, it will tear its legs". It's a metaphor for someone without privilege, and the idea that if you're not born with ability, you should know your place. Society is sick The song addresses how society is sick and that we are not at the top yet. The older generation blames millennials The song addresses how the older generation blames millennials for their struggles, saying that it is due to a lack of effort. Companies pay young workers below minimum wage The song addresses how companies pay young workers below minimum wage or nothing at all in return for experience.
Yeah all these songs are a bop. At concerts they work on different versions and it's amazing. Watch the live performances for all those songs. The high note inn Zero O'clock is Jin and Jimin, you'll see it in their live performance.
Zero O’clock literally saved me while I was in the trenches of post Partum. I kept reminding myself every day is a new day and we can try again tomorrow. Such a beautiful song!
You are doing great, keep up the good work! So glad you are enjoying all the groups you have been getting to know. It's nice when people have love for many groups, not just one. =)
Hi I've never watched your reactions before but I'm here for it now. Definitely check out the live version of "Tear" it's even better it will blow your mind especially if you watch the one that's in Japan. Also I was happy to hear you reacted to V as well he is my bias, such a unique special performer. BTS are truly incredible filled with many layers and musicality. My friend reacts to Jimin the way you do LOL I can appreciate it. Definitely look forward to seeing more of your reactions. Borahae
I love watching you learn about BTS. Their music literally saved my life, and many other lives as well. . You need to react to "Black Swan" MV. Jimin does double duty, dancing solo and with the rest of them. It's beautiful. There is also an explanation video for it. 💜
Would you believe I have probably seen “Dope” 300+ times and this is the FIRST time I even noticed there are background dancers behind RM. I guess that’s how laser focused I am on the members. Baepsae is a song you need to watch an explanation for. You also need to watch it live. It is a MUST! 😊 Others can tell you which ones.
Baepsae is one of my favorite songs. Not just because it sounds really good, but I love how they call out the older generations. I know it's meant for South Korea, but honestly, here in the West it's the same. The Boomers have ruined a lot of things for us. I'm a Millenial (34 years old) and I can't have at all what my parents and aunts and uncles and all had. Gen Z and younger generations will have it even harder than us Millenials. And older people are already complaining that Gen Z is too lazy and doesn't want to work etc. But can you blame them when the income these days barely covers all the costs anymore? It's really sad and frustrating, so I love that BTS dared to critique all that.

UwU Reading all the lyrics is important so i hope u go back and read them all on doolset. The live is a must watch for this one too. When Suga was rapping did u see he was acting like he kept getting punched. The acting, dang. Dior BTS is everything. Suga is so swaggy. RM so cute and Hobi 0.0. Jimin bias, Suga wrecker and OT7. But after this song Army were dead!!! I hope u read doolsets translation for this one. Such a powerful song. It is intense. It is passionate. It is truth spoken out loud and thank god never fulfilled. So much feels. Love it. The stage mix is fine too hope u check it out as well as their other stages of this song. There is a compilation of all his amazing endings in Baepsae. Love it. @addison5938 said on 4/17/24 Crow-tit. Even though the word crow tit has a fixed meaning, its usage, particularly within Korean culture, has changed and evolved over time. Originally, crow tit referred to a small, puffy bird; however, after being used in a Korean proverb, the term crow tit came to refer to someone who is trying too hard to fit in by becoming something they aren’t. Using this latter meaning, the Korean band BTS released a song where they called themselves baepsae, which is the Korean name for a crow tit. @BrillantTina said on 4/17/24 Baepsae is the Korean word for Crow Tit which is a type of bird - the expression itself is coming from a Korean idiom about class and people knowing their place - a crow tit has short legs compared to a stork - don't try to do something you shouldn't or you'll hurt yourself - know you're place. The dance practice and live performance of this song is so fun. It's obviously a serious topic but the choreo literally includes the bird references in a fun and cheeky way.
@@shalayaBit's important that you watch that viral live performance of these 2 songs back to back. I swear you're not gonna be the same person after 😭
This isn't on you but a lot of times, I notice on your BTS reactions that you completely mistake the lyrics as them trashtalking others when they are actually quoting or I guess mocking the things being said & thrown to them 😅. These lyric videos unfortunately are not thr best in capturing the real message & translation of their songs because of most of the time they just use google translate as it is so it's always hella goofy & inaccurate 😭
When you see V in Dope wearing the shorts with a suit jacket, he's cosplaying Detective Conan (from Case Closed), a famous anime character about a police detective that gets transformed into a middle school kid that continues to solve crimes. Btw, when RM sings about Give Up at 3? Give Up at 5?, he means did you quit work at 3 p.m., 5 p.m.? We're still working while you guys are clubbing.
@jamesrawlins735 No, what RM referred to is about this 'giving-up generations' thingy in Korea. Those that worked so hard that they gave up on 3 things: dating, marriage, having child. And then there is the generation that are giving up on 5 things, 7 things, and so on. You can find this on Wikipedia: N-po generations.

Baepsae please, please please react to the highly entertaining DKDKTV BAEPSAE EXPLAINED..... this is the only way you can fully understand this like a Korean or an ARMY. It is a highly scathing criticism of the unfair expectations and pressure boomers( storks) are putting on the younger generation( tiny little baepsae/ crow tits). All hidden in a catchy tune and hilarious choreography that will go right over your head unless you do DKDKTV. As this song is much loved by ARMY it hurts to see it not get the appreciation it deserves because people skim the surface.

Her bias line is actually rap line + jimin. So it’s the opposite. At least that’s what it was 2 videos ago. I’m not sure if she claimed differently on another site.
@shalayaB me too, I never like rap songs before I met BTS.. I became an army after I watched JK performed at Fifa world cup then started to dig the rabbit hole and trapped inside it till now.
You should've done the live version of Outro: Tear. SOOOO much better and disappointed people here didn't suggest that earlier. Also Baepsae probably made NO sense to you what so ever. You need to do an explained video that explains all the lyrics.

Cont... Hi, I am back. Good reaction(Fire), ty. Suga's palm trees orange tee is a fav of mine. =0p Jimin looks so bloody good. Umm, they don't hire backup dancers for MVs not really. The backup are their trainees who are training to debut in a group. If u watch more interviews BTS shares that they used to do this for older bands when they were trainees and they felt it was helpful to them. So they just paying it forward. A member of Stray Kids used to be their backup for 3 songs (hard ones). The Lab a dance crew from LA gets hired sometimes because their work ethic is the same as BTS. Plus, their choreographer Sierra has choreographed 4 BTS songs in the past. She is very gifted. This song actually is not about having fun and burning everything. An Army corrected me on this. BTS does not make songs that are this light. There is always a meaning weather its deep or its sweet. The dude all in black is their representation of their haters. Soukie said on 2/5/22 Honestly I can't speak for what Suga really wanted the "I'll forgive you" to mean, but since you asked for our interpretation of it I'll share mine ^^ For me the song is about how society makes "rules" and "molds" that make us miserable if we don't follow them. It makes us feel inferior if we can't achieve those standard and question our value when we look at others who actually fit. Hence my interpretation of "burn it up" and "fire": it's like they're encouraging the listeners to just burn that checklist that we use to compare ourselves with to others or determine our value in society. At the beginning they describe a scene of hangover and disorder (wild life or feeling of being lost). The repetition of 'Fire' and 'eo eo': burning of old attitudes and the beginning of something new. The refrain that encourages you to live by your own rules, accepting failures and defeats as part of life. 'Errbody say la la la la la' invites everyone to join this celebration of freedom and self-expression. It also addresses the social pressure and expectations that young South Koreans face to perform socioeconomically. 'Fire' inspires listeners to challenge the status quo and find their own voice. The offer of forgiveness at the end suggests that despite the mistakes and symbolic destruction that the 'fire' can cause, there is always room to start over and forgive yourself. Haters are also included in forgiveness. The man at the beginning of the video is a hater who burns when listening to BTS. Min Yoongi (Suga) iconic speech: "We need more haters. This phrase translates to "If a Parrotbill walks like a Stork, it will tear its legs". It's a metaphor for someone without privilege, and the idea that if you're not born with ability, you should know your place.

Thank you!!❤️ I have a big heart so there’s room for MANY groups!!!💜 :)

Jimin does double duty,
dancing solo and with the rest of them.
It's literally impossible to pick favourites. I tried once to even make a top 20 and it was sooooo hard. Love your enthusiasm!
@@mccallumha1 omg it is in fact impossible and I haven’t even heard half of their music yet!! 😭 Also, Thank you!!🫶🏽

Hi, I am back. Good reaction(Tear), ty. This song talks about them breaking up. It is a heartbreak song. Suga is the main producer in BTS. RM is the 2nd producer. Though he produces less group work these days. This is Wembley stadium live i am referencing. Hugs. -2019 Army NY USA💜
Suga said: "the lyrics for Tear were written for the members. When I was writing the melody, at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members we all cried together".
Also RM is saying "Tear" as in crying and Suga as in ripping something apart.
Imajin All The Purple said on 2/25/23
They actually hid a third meaning of tear in the song: Suga says T.E.A.R. which is a coping mechanism for loss:
T - To accept the reality of the loss
E - Experience the pain of the loss
A - Adjust to the new environment without the lost person
R - Reinvest in the new reality
They are lyrical kings indeed! 💜

I REALLY recommend you guys to watch their speech at the 2018 MAMA Award Show when they won Artist Of The Year. They talked about their disbanding in their speech (Jin made it clear). It's very emotional and I think it's good for you guys understand Outro: Tear better. 💜💜💜

Good reaction( Baepsae), ty. Hope u watch a live for this song is so catchy, i love it. They sang about a topic many were avoiding. They always rocked the boat. This is an old song but still so hype Actually another Army said that the song full name is both =Baepsae/Silver Spoon. Not crow tit, lol. This stage is iconic that is why army suggest it all the time. =0p Pls watch DKDKTV explanation for this if u have not done so already and u have to watch the dance practice, giggles.

Important thing about Baepsae: Hobi did a differente dancing break each time they performed it live sooooooo, we have a lot of amazing dancing from J Hope. There is a compilation of all his amazing endings in Baepsae. Love it.
@addison5938 said on 4/17/24
Crow-tit.
@BrillantTina said on 4/17/24
Baepsae is the Korean word for Crow Tit which is a type of bird - the expression itself is coming from a Korean idiom about class and people knowing their place - a crow tit has short legs compared to a stork - don't try to do something you shouldn't or you'll hurt yourself - know you're place. The dance practice and live performance of this song is so fun. It's obviously a serious topic but the choreo literally includes the bird references in a fun and cheeky way.

I highly suggest you watch DKDKTV's explanation video on BTS' Baepsae. They did such a great job in it
When you see V in Dope wearing the shorts with a suit jacket, he's cosplaying Detective Conan (from Case Closed), a famous anime character about a police detective that gets transformed into a middle school kid that continues to solve crimes.

Please do a reaction to 3D with Jack Harlow, Seven, and Standing Next to You, you enjoy these.

Second this. This performance is a must see for this song 💜
You are just like me, i'm an OT7 but my favourites are all the 4 vocalists, the most favourite is JK 😂😂💜💜
Her bias line is actually rap line + jimin. So it’s the opposite. At least that’s what it was 2 videos ago. I’m not sure if she claimed differently on another site.
I LOVE the rap line though too so much AHHHH!!💜
@shalayaB me too, I never like rap songs before I met BTS.. I became an army after I watched JK performed at Fifa world cup then started to dig the rabbit hole and trapped inside it till now.
You should've done the live version of Outro: Tear. SOOOO much better and disappointed people here didn't suggest that earlier. Also Baepsae probably made NO sense to you what so ever. You need to do an explained video that explains all the lyrics.
You should reaction to BTS medley!

And of course it was Suga that said that iconic line. Hugs. Take care. ---NY USA Army 💜

I always saw the message of "Fire" to be
Your young, your allowed to party instead of study sometimes, you can make mistakes, you don't have to be the best at what you do - this is your time to discover who you are through trial and error
And even if no one else will "I forgive you"!
DKinLA said on 4/7/22
The moment at the beginning where Suga shakes the guy's hand and says "Bultaoreune" (which means "Burn") & the guy catches on fire is a tribute to the Pink Floyd album cover for "Wish you were here" not all ARMY's get that because a lot of them are younger.

Honestly I can't speak for what Suga really wanted the "I'll forgive you" to mean, but since you asked for our interpretation of it I'll share mine ^^
For me the song is about how society makes "rules" and "molds" that make us miserable if we don't follow them. It makes us feel inferior if we can't achieve those standard and question our value when we look at others who actually fit. Hence my interpretation of "burn it up" and "fire": it's like they're encouraging the listeners to just burn that checklist that we use to compare ourselves with to others or determine our value in society. It's almost revolutionary lyrics asking people to rebel against the preconceived ideas of our society and put our happiness first.
But if you destroy something usually you get blamed for it. So for me "I'll forgive you" is another part of the encouragement they're giving as though they're saying "Just go for it, do whatever you want to do to be happy, even if others blame you for going against the system or being a rebel, we're on your side, we'll forgive you in their stead."

Fun story from Armys. There was an Army who visited Korea and saw trash burning outside a restaurant. Said Army does not speak Korean at all, but because of this song knew that the Korean word for Fire is: bultaoreune. So to get the attention of the restaurant workers, she kept on pointing and saying Bultaoreune until the restaurant owner saw and put out the fire. 😊
S said on 12/22/22
There was another story where an int'l army was in a Korean restaurant and the food was not heated so she called waiter and asked him to heat the food again but the waiter couldn't understand so she literally sang bultaoreune and then that's when the waiter understood.
Bultaoreune saving lives here😂

Suga opens with burning the haters (guy in black hoodie) and ends with I forgive you. Yeah.
@BangPDsMom said on 12/12/24
An Easter egg: the handshake with the guy on fire is a re-creation of a famous album cover, Wish You Were Here, by Pink Floyd.
Suga wrote this song and it’s his Anthem for later BTS works. Fire is definitely his element. Of course that could just be my bias showing.
As for drinking…BTS was one of the first kpop groups to openly drink alcohol. And obviously be drunk on live video sessions. It was a middle finger to then current idol stance that idols didn't drink or smoke, at least openly.
@katiemarie8580 said on 12/12/24
This song goes so hard live!! Jin used to be a lot more reserved, because the company told him since he was handsome he had to give off a cool image. But Jin said it was after Fire that he started being himself, which we now lovingly know is an absolute goof. And lol there's actually compilation videos of them drinking if you wanna watch it...XP
@marciareginabragavianna7272 said on 12/12/24
This song is an anthem of youthful energy and rebellion that encourages listeners to live with passion and authenticity.
Bcz old haters join armies"
