      Like you, I believe the ones you have are an older version of the big Sandy. No doubt Jay saw the Clovis people's work and adapted that and then I guess later phased it out. Makes you think?. + 1 point right here where my house is built years ago that I believed to be a Dalton for a long time. It has been authenticated as an unfluted Clovis. What a surprise!. I'm pretty sure they're very rare in Carolina.

    If you think about the eb and flow of the river system and how it would flash flood in these hills it makes a lot of sense how these things would get burried over thousands of years. One day you'd have a camp, two hours later it would be buried in mud so you go to dry ground and make a new camp.

    Very nice video rocks! Your channel going to take off you will surly be up there the the Chigg some day. I won one of your first giveaways of that Atlas tire sign and some old license plates. Still got them hung up! The Native American stuff is great, I predict that this content will really take off in the future people love the stuff. It’s lost history! Would love to pick your Brain sometime on your TH-cam knowledge, I’ve recently started a artifact history TH-cam channel myself, if you get some time let me know what you think! And yet again you are a wealth of info. I can surly contribute more then 90% of my finds to you from your videos sifting on the Ohio river valley, and getting right down to the clay layer. In 2019 the Largest Arrowhead Hunting channel on TH-cam had 6,500 subscribers.
      After over a decade here with little to no competition.
      In 2019 the Subscriber and View Buying started in Mass.
      Guys like the Chigg beat people to the punch and purchased tons of subs early on...before everyone else.
      And let on like they WERE REAL.

      Well you get into that river gravel.....it is hard to tell what is there. There is even GOLD. There are agates...all kinds of exotic cherts...and who knows this could have eroded out of some rock like that. Chert is formed in nodules in limestone. And I am finding ancient sea life fossils in the gravels. So imagine the "Rockhounding" videos that could be done on the Ohio river just sorting gravels for agates and cherts.

    Rocks, have you ever heard of anyone finding a stone with a carving in it? I still have it, but several years ago I found a stone that was cabbed on one side, flat on the opposite and oval shaped. And on the side that was cabbed, it has a carving of The Eye of Ra. The Eye of Ra is from Egyptian times. And from the research that I've done, they say no Egyptians were ever here in this part of the US. Or anywhere else for that matter. I found the stone in Troy NY.
    Any idea when or where it may have originated? I've been asking people for a while now and I've never received any answers. I would bring it to a historian at the local museum but the state of NY had deemed anything of value found in the state belongs to the state. I dont want the museum confiscating it so I've never brought it in.

    • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Probably something that was lost. All you need to do to tell if it is ancient is look at it under a microscope. If it was made with modern tools.......the tool marks are visible under a microscope. You can read online how to do that. It is easy.

    • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Id take it to the local university and have someone in the anthropology or archaeology department look at it.

    • @rockscousteau

      Dont dismiss it. Everything found deserves some investigation. Lots of artifacts were stolen from egypt in the late 1800's into the early 1900's. Kind of a tourist trade thing. Even mummies were sold and collected in the US. Esp after King Tut was found the interest exploded. It could be real...and it could be from egypt. You need to check it out
