This is totally me after being stabbed in the chest by a dimensional cutting katana wielded by my twin brother while he goes into a rant about power, Leaving me bleeding in the floor but then suddenly awakening new demonic powers which leads to me punching a structure really hard, To the point it literally exploded defying all known laws of physics and then jumping from a humongous temple which was created by demon worshipers but then sealed by a demon lord (which is my father too) and running on the walls while i shoot flying demonic beings with dual guns that somehow never run out of ammo, Then throwing my sword which lined up perfectly to penetrate all of them, killing them all, running at the speed of sound to get my sword back and jumping and then getting eaten by a gigantic flying demon whale.
It’s been 15 years since this game came out. January 2006 the Special edition, so 14 years. I have played quite my fair share of games. Yet i always come back to seeing this particular video. Fuckin’hell. I love it.
This scene perfectly sums up Dante’s character. If he loses at something, you know what he does? He doesn’t mope about. No, he gets right back up, dusts himself off, and proceeds to be an absolute badasss while enjoying the shit out of it
This comment aged like a fine wine, because that's exactly what Dante does in DMC 5 too. Urizen knocked him out flat for months, and the first thing he did when he regain consciousness was to get up and be a badass. Saving his companions, then fight Urizen again with style. Never once mope or be intimidated by any of the stronger foes he's facing, that's the Dante we all grew up with!
That is because normal ways for mortals to die is nothing to mope about here Unlike us, he can tank what is usually lethal to mortals and keep on going

This. This was, and still is a fuckin masterclass in badass cutscene production. The camera work, the animation, the sheer ridiculousness of a guy running down the side of a building, throwing his sword and shooting it so fast it creates a fiery shockwave.......
1:36-2:10 is probably the single most badass thing you'll ever see in any video game ever. The sound effects, camera angles and perfect use of slow motion just made this a masterpiece.
Cool fact, for the air around Dante's hand and sword to catch fire, he'd be moving atleast 1550mph/2x the speed of sound, as that's how fast you'd have to run for wool to catch fire, but since he isn't wearing wool and it's just air, he's likely going faster
Devil May Cry 2 is just misunderstood 😂 it's still a fun game especially when you get the MP5K that's all I can really say about it because I still don't understand the story and I'm 22 now lmao
Enough credit isn't given to the cinematography in this scene. There are so many badass shots, camera movements, and insane framing in every single second of the action. If this exact scene were recreated in modern graphics, your console/pc would explode from sheer hype overload.
A game becomes great by its ideas. This game's graphical situations were atleast 25 years ahead of it s time . Still the best action game according to me.
@@Pelayum I like DMC5 but I don't think it fully captured the essence of the series except combat wise and even with that being said idk if it's just me that thinks this but the combat felt really sluggish compared to 3 and 4's and the story wasn't really that entertaining either because it was predictable. 5 is still God tier but I wouldn't put it over 1,3 or 4 in terms of best action game of all time. Ninja gaiden is definitely up there tho along with God of war 3.
I love in DMC 3 that for every badass moment where Dante is trying to be cool theres always something cheesy or funny, in this example he gets eaten, in the first mission the enemy steps on his pizza, in the bike scene it explodes in his hands leaving him holding the handlebars etc, keeps it from becoming edgy (Like DMC V)

I think the difference between Dante at this age and Nero in DMC 4 is that Dante is extremely precise even at this age he uses his surroundings and gets creative. Nero is more brutal he's more straight forward.
