Hey Mike, if I buy the Picatinny rail that you make. Well I have to buy a new one if I go and upgrade to a 500 air tank. On my AEA challenger pro long barrel .35 caliber. I definitely like your design on the Picatinny rail. It’s going to be my first upgrade for my rifle.
The AEA Challenger Pro Standard with 24 inch barrel comes with a 350cc air tank and the 500cc air tank upgrade is a very good upgrade. However, if you have the AEA Challenger Pro Long Barrel, you already have the 500cc air tank and there is no need to upgrade air tanks. The Tactical rail you need for your Long Barrel is on my website www.backyardairguns.com. The item you need is "Tactical Rails for AEA Challenger Pro - Long Barrel Version (500cc or 600cc Air Tank)". Email me at mike@backyardairguns.com if you need any help.
Hey there Mike my 30 cal is a std barrel @ 195 bar I am using the griffin slugs 78gr hp boat tail , they are 915 fps -0yards 145 fpe & 890@ 25-yds 137 fpe I will try the 4x4 test ,next with some solid nose slugs in challenger pro rifle .30 cal @ what range were you shooting the 4x4 cedar post ? Was it 10- yds ?
Antonio,195-Bar on gun reg ,10-12 shots on 4500 psi, and no the 78grain boat tail bullets or slugs are hand fed in the breach! Only the 64-65--68 will fit the mag ,however test those Griffin -slugs and you will see your .30 cal will send them with the same fpe that a .22 mag Will do , that's plenty of power for backyard --air guns !!
@@backyardairguns smiles they were origanally 115gr hp that i sized down frm .308 to .301 and i am using my heavily modified challenger pro ole school with about 11 inches of extensions and porting to make it integrally suppressed. it will also send a 140 gr .284 full metal jacket and send that very accuratly as well. think barrel porting and how much it can be increased because the powwer plant is strong enough to support larger diameter barrel ports putting air flow into the barrel under pressure. enjoy your hobby. i have moved on from that chall pro , it is now an lb version with external regulater. because i have the chall pro lb gen 2 .357 that is now my newest aea airgun.
@@Dan-rw5wk - I think his rifle is modded. You might want to inquire regarding what’s been done. What you see might not be an “out of the box” example. And I’ll take accuracy over power in most cases as long as the power is enough. Just food for thought. Happy shopping/hunting.
Thanks i finally found them i dont know why but all the original lb were sold out e@backyardairguns I'm hooked on getting one i built a 257 talondor several years back but nit near this accurate
Hi Cory. Most of the ammo I shoot in this rifle is labeled .30 7.62mm. However, I looked at the H&N Slugs I shoot and they are labeled 301. So I'm going to say you can shoot both .300 and .301 in this rifle. Is there a particular ammo you are referring to? Let me know and I will confirm if I have shot that ammo before in this rifle.
@@backyardairguns ROGUE PRECISION AMMUNITION 50GR work very well and you can get 400 for $50 on their site just google it. i have als tested .284cal or 7mm and the longer rifle rounds fmj like 140gr will fit single load and slide along inside the rail and still be accurate. and at under 1300fps they willnot lose the jacket and will pierce metal like a ram punch concrete anchor.
@@corywebb5537 I have a Blitz in 30 cal and in my opinion, it is underpowered. The 30 Cal Blitz would never put out 150 fpe. Most semi-auto rifles have less power than the same rifle not in semi-auto. The reason is some of the force of the air has to be used to load and chamber the next round.
Airgun--militia , You must have a chrony to know 950-fps x110grain= 220fpe my aea pro .30 cal std barrel will not shoot slugs that hard , at 195-Bar or 200 ! If you have the long barrel version maybe , you can achieve that velocity , and that is something to talk about ! 220 fpe from a 30 Cal Challenger Pro is something I've never seen. I think you would have to open the reg all the way up (well past 200 bar) to get near to that. Sound like a challenge. 😁
Thanks man another excellent everything I wanted to know!!!
Wow what a cannon. Awesome
It's a really fun rifle to shoot!
Awesome power!
Thanks!

145 fpe. That's about right. I got some of the 78g Griffins but have not tried them yet.
10 Yards
How is set your regulator? How many shots before to get off regulator with your settings?
Last: your Griffin 78 gr slugs fit the magazine?
That's impressive for a 30cal.

This rifle is very loud without a moderator. I think it's over 110 db.

Is this out the box or have you modified it in any way for more fpe??
Installed heavy power spring - that's the only internal mod.
Great power! How many shots at that level before you’re off the reg?
About 30
Your getting 30 shots at 1100fps with 50.15gn??? If thats the case I'm having one.
Couldn't make my mind up between 30cal and 357
