Just watched two of your videos, and I'm dusting off my Dark Angels, I mean Dark Brothers. 😂 Six bikers still needs painting though... Brilliant, enthusiastic channel. Subbed.
I haven't played with the assault rules yet, but I think it is good. Everyone plays with core rules. You can choose to play with advanced rules or choose to play without them. Letting players decide how many extras they want in their games is almost always a good thing in my opinion.
I've now watched a dozen of your videos, you're such an enjoyable person to watch and listen to, i subbed man.. channels like yours makes me want to get back into TH-cam again. Just for fun.
Playing AOFS, I use Shaken as they must take their entire next activition to be able to act next turn. I may be modifying this in the future to they may still move if they are shaken. That way they can unshake and get behind cover or escape melee. I'm finding if a unit is shaken on turn 3, it is useless for the rest of the game.
I like how people are so upset that these were or were not optional rules. As if every rule isn’t optional if both players agree.
House rules for the win! 🤩

Welcome!
I really like the assault rules. It makes combined units make more sense and valuable. BTW I love you channel!
It adds more! Thanks!

Just had a game where I “shook” a unit on turn three and it meant I could not die 😅
I liked the 3.3 shaken rule and assault. Ill probably just keep using them in firefight. I only used assault once but the option is nice.
My wife's Blessed Sisters *CLOBBERED* my Robot Legion with an Assault.
Big thumbs up! Would be clobbered again! (Seriously - loved it.)
I think I’ll keep using it!
mmm they went the battletech route. lovely. have core rules with lots of optional rules.
Options are great honestly!
At least its still an option on the advanced rules. And If im correct you don't half the distance for it anymore.
Oh! No halfing distance?
@AcceptablyEPIC Don't quote me on it, lol. I haven't re-download the rules yet. But if true, then it has been buffed by that change alone.
The charge range was increased but now you can only shoot the unit you’re charging.
Ah I see!
😭😭😭
Well, ok. Actually I like the new Shaken rule 🤔
Negative modifiers have always been a pain in wherever you don't want it. I won't be missing them.
It was a nice option in your back pocket
