I wish they would have started in Southern California and worked northward. LA needs to be redone more than anything else in the state. The ports of LA and Long Beach are adjacent to each other make up the largest port area in the country.
i bought the game when it came out with just california and Nevada. it´s amazing how far the game has come since launch.
cant wait to see the Mack Pinnacle release that is going to be very nice.
It is my most anticipated truck at the moment. Hopefully we will get a vintage truck pack or something one day, with GMC, Dodge and Ford's too.
The Peterbilt 389 needs rework too
Right? Over a year ago they were talking about the new 389X. What happened?

Kenworth turn 100 is the reason for the updated W900. Peterbilt started in 1960 but does not mean it will not get updated.
I know that the vast majority of fans don't really care about anything other than new states and trucks, but please update the game engine in a powerful and meaningful way. Those of us (the few) that can tell the difference between a dynamic game engine and something that the paperboy can throw on the front porch wish you would.
Excited for the rest of the new T680 and next gen 579! Also cool to see they might start doing more retro trucks like the Pinnacle.

Map dlc comes out every year so that's why I think of it as lots of map dlc and stuff

Maybe even sooner. SCS has been pumping out updates, reworks, new trucks and DLCs lately and much more frequently.

Gta 6 may be better with interactions but holy cow the U.S. map is going to be huge to explore especially if each state gets more places to explore just like the upcoming 1.50 Though I would like to see Freightliner xl since the international i9900 was around during that time and now it's in game. It gives a different experience going old school with no GPS. It's a fun experience.
If you want the XL definitely check out Jon Ruda’s version, a official one would be so bland in customization like the 389 when the whole fun of those kinds of trucks are to customize to the hills.
@@driver8703 true but I am tired of all the fuss to update every single time and download again. Plus John Ruda is a paid mod now a days. So I don”t want to constantly pay to download again. I rather have SCS to put a Freightliner xl as a dlc and find mods for customization instead because I can custom or not anytime. Though John Ruda is a best modder on details. If they just added gta gameplay with ETS2 with every map mods, It could be the greatest game ever to play. But however seeing how limited the map is as you can't go off road as there's a force field and plus beyond that is just nothing except for the void. If they however fit it to where it's just miles and miles of just nature and dirt like daggerfall until you find the road again then it could be the greatest game. you don't have to have it where it's just like gta. all i'm saying is make it where you can walk around and stuff.
@@jackjr.sparrow3668 his mods are paid mods but only pay once and it’s yours forever with updates. He has a website now with account info so log in and all your mods are there with downloads onsite. As for updating. I’ve got his XL, 389/379, W900, 362, and trailer pack and in at least the last 2 or 3 game versions I haven’t had to update the trucks at all and no crashes. The only reason I’ve updated them is additions he’s made to the trucks themselves. Other than the new Volvo and recent KW his trucks are the only ATS trucks I use.
@@Solidier1 that’s what they where planning to do to update the game for more realism, but that won’t happen now. It’s a future project according to them. Though that would be cool about dirt roads and other stuff you mention. I like your idea.

An interesting list of upcoming features for the game. Tentative release dates adds value to this video. However an oversight by many is that there's no such thing as a Peterbilt (note the correct spelling of the company's name) 579 Next Gen. It is only the newest edition of the 579...the only brand that added "Next Gen" to its name was Kenworth, with its T680. Peterbilt simply refers to the 579 as its "New Model"...simply showing the new model year's truck, as they normally do each year. Sure, it has a few new features - but it's just the normal evolution of a truck. It can be confirmed if the factory, or dealership websites (or the company's/some dealer's TH-cam channel's for that matter) are checked-out.

Ive been wanting the Mack Pinnacle in-game for so long. I do enjoy the mod I have of it. But SCS quality is definitely a lot better
I think it would be sick if they brought the Pete 589 or Kenworth w990
I would love if ats can come up with a real simulation of a blow out on the tires also real maintnance on the trucks when they need service
to crazylegz21010 not a good idea most already having lagging with the game they have a there is no customer help for it a steam community discussion is limited to game issues not systems which is the problem
I wish truck stops had people walking around and cars/trucks coming in and out of the fuel aisle.

@@Benjimac379 simple things like using the radio would make npcs reply to me, same with using the horn. Wish other players could drive with me during multiplayer, some simple things having a customizable garage and the ability to park more than one truck and trailer outside.

The international LTS are gonna look sharp! They have to get the REAL SOUNDS! Please! Do not have the old shitty boring International sounds.. please get the real official sounds! I’ve seen a test drive vid of it the S13 and it sounds very good for International trucks! They have to nail it! The Mack trucks I’m really looking forward to! That’s gonna be exciting to see

I'm really liking the preview of the Kenworth T680, and used it exclusively during the Christmas WoT event. Glad they gave us a preview. I would hope a Cummins/Eaton pairing would also be available when the full truck is released. The Paccar engine/trans was better than I dared hope, but for the really heavy stuff / hills, more power and gears would be helpful. Nice to see the pace of SCS development really picking up from years previous.
American Truck Simulator is my longest played video game that gets game-changing updates.
I can't wait to drive from California to New York for one job.
guys beware to more they add puts more on your cpu and rams so be sure you have a high processor speed and rams as well i'm not taking chances

Okay, so they pulled new Cummins engine sounds from a Peterbilt 367 IRL, when do you think we’ll get THAT truck in ATS?
Hey everyone, I noticed that they are talking about future customization of the Western Star 49X. How about some new customization options for the Western Star 5700XE. This is one of the best trucks in the game currently. But the options are pretty limited compared to some of the other trucks. You can't even put anything on top of the dash without blocking your right hood mirror. And I use my hood mirrors. That spot where you put something, should be moved over to the right a little, so it doesn't block the mirror.
They made promises last year about the engine upgrade and AI rework that never saw the light so take Pavel with a big grain or even grains and tons of salt.
Gameplay wise this game is still stuck in 2016
I'm excited for the mack pinnacle and the 3 state releases. Surprised the video didn't mention Missouri
I really want it to become available on console, at least next gen consoles.
After the new engine that's the goal. The new engine will be liberated to the wild on the next update 1.50 and it will be compatible with consoles. Search TH-cam for videos on the matter.
If the new LT comes out with he Scania engine it’d be cool if someone made a mod to replace the international badges with one with a Scania logo in it
Interesting times ahead for ATS. I hope with the new graphics engine, there would be less crashing of the game.
Hi You say about the game crashing alot are you running mods ?
@cookiemonster2189 Not too much. I've been changing mods or updating them. And only use a few, not most of them. The crashing usually is because my system's integrated GPU is directx 12 capable, but the game is directx 11 and does see directx 11 errors in the game log file.

Years of map, cargo and truck reworks with the occasional animation and graphical updates/upgrades. . .
Then Canada, Mexico, South America....it'd still be "American"

Well, they stated that there will be 3 states released per year so prob Nebraska in April or May, Arkansas in August and Missouri in December
Pavel said 3 DLCs (not states) in a year, it was not clear if it's across ets2 and ats or not. He mentioned "consistency" so 2 for ATS + 1 for ETS2 is more likely to be the case, just like 2023

After playing both single player and truckers mp bringing in a cabover into ats would be huge, reworking the 389 like they did the w900, adding a flat top cab for the w900 cause that top with the windows is ugly and not everyone likes it, being able to add stretched 2 wheel base chassies to the pet and the w900 but we shall see

Customisation for the 49X? 🤔 As in a tuning pack or something? Its my favorite truck, but I dont see what they could still add to it unless its aftermarket/tuning stuff.

All sounds good, except I really wanted Missouri this year, because of the underground caves. Oh well. First part of 2025 I guess. The part I am really not keen on, is the fact that we may have to wait for probably 6 months or maybe more for the Next Gen T680 customization to be completed. To me, that is completely unacceptable. That should be a top priority for SCS. The truck as it is right now, is not useable in my opinion. And please SCS, when you do finally release all the options for the truck, include the option for regular mirrors instead of the camera mirrors. I hate the mirror setup. It's annoying.

It doesn't make much sense for the T680 to remain incomplete and for them to launch other trucks before it.

like video but the graphics is too powerful for my windows 10 64 bit pro , 16 gb ram, processor i5 6500 3.2 ghrzs four core , graphic (R) hd 530, resolution 1920 x 1080 so i will not be buying it, most already had lagging problems with just the one they have. so i pass

I hope we see new game engine soon. It was rumoured be coming out at end of new year, but that never happened. I assume it because they continued work on it, so it be ready. So I hope we see it soon. Also hope as they said, we’ll see vulkan.api support. DX 11/12 have both been bloatware. Steam deck is proof vulkan works better, when devs support it correctly and optimize it. Valve said devs back 2015 to use vulkan over bloated DX 12. Steam deck and steam os proof valve knows what they talking about.
Nice see more trucks get more updates. Hope we see 389 upgrade, but prob not. They prob add the 589. While not favour. 389/379 will always be classic imo.
