Thanks for this video, it was very useful for my 1991 jeep Chevrolet trooper, it is difficult to disassemble it, but it was possible.
thank you from Quilpué, Valparaíso, Chile

Hi mate, what Land Rover steering arms have you used there? and what modifications did you have to do to make them work with the Trooper? They look waaaay better than the stock ones. Cheers

Greetings from the US. I just picked up a 1993 Opel Monterey RS with the 3.1TD as a project vehicle. I notice the rear driveshaft has a quibo coupler (rubber isolator). Does your rig have that or a standard slip yoke driveshaft? The quibo coupler is all dry rotted on mine and I'd rather not pay to replace it if it isn't necessary. I'll just have a new driveshaft made. Also, did you do the EGR delete to your engine? I see the kits for sale in the UK but apparently they can't ship here.
I"ve watched all your trooper vids. Great content. Thank you!

Hi there - yes as far as I know this is standard on all models - could be wrong though

@@vitmods7086 Ok thanks. I tore it down and it appears to be just a vibration isolator/balancer. I've never seen on gasoline Troopers in the US...perhaps it is a diesel engine component or just a European build requirement. I've got the entire driveline out now and ready to rebuild with all new bearings and seals...except for the engine....that may be next! Labor of love I guess..... Cheers!

Thanks for watching - yes you’ll just need a set of manual hubs to swap them over

Have you serviced the needle roller bearings in the hub assembly the stub axle runs on, one of mine has collapsed and have trouble finding a replacement. Cheers

@@vitmods7086 Hi buddy, Just wondering how your axle is going now, thought you said you don't usually put the circlip on ? The garage left one of mine off and it totally destroyed end of axle, instead off the cv sliding in and out of the camshell when the suspension travels up and down, the stub axle moves in and out of the hub spline and without having full engagement would break/shatter the end of the axle. It would also not put any pressure on the hub seals allowing water ingestion. I have fitted a front locker and need to upgrade tie rods, tried a set from 1997 ford 250 but tie rod tapers are diferant, what and rover did your come off. Thanks.

      @@graeme1491 hi mate
That’s not good to hear, I’ve never had this problem, I did break a shaft last outting but that was more to pushing it a little too hard. I think I’ve only broken about 3 or 4 shafts in the last 5 years, I going to have a go at dropping the diff to allow for the 2” lift - it’s on my to do list !
