I could definitely see this cover being used for Hyuga 1, and then the original being used for Hyuga 2. As the cover has more of a personality and positive sound, where the original has a more high tension and melancholy. Great cover though, for sure!
@@peropero2208 For me it was the opposite cause of the lack of good translation in the game version i played. I didnt know you have stats and until Cho i fought all the bosses at level 1. Lol
I dig it🔥 It certainly has a different vibe from the OG, less agressive. Something a bit retro, and something of Town Bully (LAD6) maybe. Not what I was expecting, but it's really cool👍
Glad you like it! I know you asked more specifically for the style of Drama but trying to reverse-engineer that style made it seem like a fluke. I think I understand the parts a bit better now, so I'll see what I can do with your other requests. As a side-note, trying to replicate the style is why the project took so long. The first attempt was a complete mess haha, I wasn't sure how to go about trying to fix it so I just gave up and started over. Balancing three layers of guitar performances is a difficult balance to make sound coherent like this, let alone getting it to sound huge like Drama. Looking forward to challenging myself to getting closer to that again though.
@@AlpineEscape You're a legend. You don't just make simple covers but rebuild tracks. It is really impressive. Shame I'm not a musician but either way I find your works masterpieces Was your first attempt really that messy? What went wrong? What you have in plans next?👀
@@Seiryu.. I'm very happy you see it that way! So I'm not 100% sure what went wrong with the first attempt, I reused the same guitar rigs as Drama and recorded all the guitars with variation in parts, same again as Drama, but it just sounded like a cacophony of sound (and not in a good way) rather than the three different rigs blending together as nicely as they did in Drama. The performances were also a bit rushed and not very tight and it would've been a very boring evening of admin to manually cut up and adjust note timings for six guitar recordings. For the released version, I built the rigs up from scratch again. Sometime when I'm feeling creative but not like working on something, I'll have to try and figure out the balance of three different rigs again. It's ambitious, I'm not aware of much rock or metal that uses more than two different rigs layering the same part. It just wouldn't sound big enough or be challenging enough to use only one or two, hence my stubbornness to push myself and layer three haha. I'm not really sure what's up next. I have a lot of covers on the go that I try and post as and when they're finished and I'm happy with them. I haven't decided which request I'm doing next, possibly Hear This In The Game. Depending on what I'm feeling though, the next few uploads could be projects started after that or even before you gave me your requests. All I can really say for sure is I want to branch out from Yakuza more. To tell you the truth, I'm not that interested in the games themselves anymore. I still love Judgment, but I found there's too much meh to sift through to find the good in the Yakuza games and with Yokoyama as head of the company I don't trust anything that man or says or how the overall series story will continue to wrap around and trip over itself with him in charge. It might be a while before I wrap up Yakuza covers for the most part, there's lots of good music from it I still want to cover and a lot from it I still haven't even heard enough or in the right context to really appreciate yet. I'm happy that Yakuza being as big as it is meant I was able to build up as many subs and views as I've gotten in two years, but I've got too much I want to do outside of it to stick with it very long-term.
@@AlpineEscape Hope you didn't get emotional damage while covering The Naked Panther😅 Oh yeah, Hear This In The Game is gold. This track I'd also like to hear in Drama style or so BUT! I trust your choice and whatever feels right to you to use. About RGG Studio, yeah, there are some issues with the new head of the company. For now the upcoming projects look like straight abusing of Kiryu. It'd be better if the RGG would remake Kenzan!, Kurohyou, LAD3-4 like what Capcom did to RE4. Without reusing of old animations In cutscenes like in LADK and LADK2. So I understand your point about branching out of these games. Have you played Devil May Cry? The music there is also legendary. Would be cool to hear your covers someday. Anyway hope you're doing good. Can't wait to hair your new projects!
No emotional damage luckily! Just a bit frustrating. It is what it is though; everything to me this young is a learning experience and to reflect optimistically on it, I got a good finished project out of it even if it wasn't what I was aiming for. That's a lot better than I can say for maybe 200 projects I have lying around. I can't say Hear This In The Game is that familiar. I think I read once that it's Y3's Amon theme? I got fed up with Y3 long before I reached him so I'd believe it lol. I've been dabbling with electronic music recently and I think it's gonna be fun to incorporate some of that into this. Yokoyama had the balls to write-off Kiryu twice then bring him back into the fold as co-protagonist and say "it's not because he's popular, we just couldn't tell this story without him". I guarantee his side of the story and especially Gaiden will be shallow as hell. After all, this is the guy who single-handedly completely trainwrecked the coherency of the series by somehow being allowed to write 3-5 by himself. The guy seems to be okay at writing when he's working with others, but now that liar's the head of the company. I had a surprisingly hard time going cold turkey when Ishin released but now I feel a lot better mentally that I no longer have a 100-hour grind sifting through all the meh to pan for the gold in every new title. So long as he keeps his hands away from it, I'll happily eat up more Judgment, but Yakuza is such a mess now I kinda can't wait to disassociate myself from it after I've done all the covers I want to. I've only played DMC3 and I really didn't like it. It's been a few years now but I seem to recall it being a bit of a slog and I vividly remember that being unable to change styles/Circle button action inside a level irking me for some reason. I thought I knew something from DMC5 but I don't recognise the ones I'm skimming through. I assume (I'd hope) DMC5 plays much differently, but between my previous experience and how punchable I find Dante and Vergil, I don't really want anything to do with it. Thanks for checking in! Although TNP didn't give me emotional damage, the last two weeks have been draining, in part thanks to two concurrent, unrelated bits of drama that are finally winding down (I hope). People are damn tiring.

dazzling star vibes
That second battle against Hyuga was the first time in the game i was actually scared.
You could F E E L his rage
I never got to the second battle, though I think I fought the first one on my phone on a train back from uni. The rage was entirely mine haha
I remember being like:
"Oooh this battle is gonna be epic- oh this was pretty easy"
