At 13:00, it was the placement of the 5 in Block 4 at R4C1 that opened this one up for me. This was possible because the 5s were confined to Rows 5 and 6 in Blocks 5 and 6, and they were confined to Rows 2 and 3 in Blocks 1 and 7. So then at 14:35, after you placed the 5 in Col 1, you stopped to analyze C1 but did not notice the 2 had to go at R3C1. Not your best day for puzzling.
Hey, Zen, at the point of notation in the video, what I saw was the 5 was confined to R1 in box 2 because of the R3 placing and also confined to R4 because of the 5s in the RH vertical chute. Hence R4C1 = 5. I had painstakingly noted every move, so simply went through my notes to know what I did at that point.
As at 10 minutes, column 1 can be completed in the following order: 5 in r4, which causes 2 to be in r3, following which 4 can only be in r7 and 9 as last digit in r5. The rest of the puzzle goes rather well.
I managed it notation free, resolving to take as long as it needed and not having the pressure of it being filmed. There was an interesting point where I somehow worked out a restriction on 5 in C6 of box 2 and that set up a load of stuff. Solution checked and correct.
