IDK the specifics, but there's apparently ways to stop some of the more annoying hacks like the visual ones that case your frames to tank. You'd have to ask around for that though.
I've been playing DS3 for around 200 hours on PC and haven't met that much hackers ever. I guess i've met 3, maybe 4 hackers, but not that much, and only one encounter was really painful, others just broke things that almost can't be broken during the game, lol, like weapons and things. Guess the only sole reason you've all of them is because you're a streamer/youtuber, and salty guys has, sadly, too many tool to ruin your expirience now.

Sometimes it's actually cool tho. People make mini-bosses with multiple stages that are actually pretty good and fair. Granted those types are few and far between. Mostly it's just assholes who make it impossible for a new player to get going, which sucks cause the population is already getting low. Unfortunately playing Souls requires a trade-off (1,2 or 3). Get the best looking game with a chance of running into a game ruining asshole every time you play, or settle for a more secure game with lesser visuals on console. I own both, play the game as intended on console and use PC version for mods and making bosses fight each other, shit like that.

Somebody dropped some sort of invalid item in my game pretty soon after release and I've been banned from online play since. All I wanted was to Sunbro, but erasing my saved data and reinstalling didn't help. So that's awesome.

I've ran into 1 hacker on pc and that's it. If you don't play with viewers like you did in the stream it should be fine. It's really a shame some viewers have to ruin it for the rest of us.
Man I’ve run into them multiple times in a week before. Whether I’m invading or in the arena, I especially like the closet ones that turn on the hax if you do something they don’t like. For example using a healing miracle or a weapon they don’t like.
You block them on Steam and you won't have to deal with these losers ever again.

This goes for everyone on PC, always make a backup save file by-
type in run in the windows search bar--> click on it
type in %appdata% and press OK
go to the dark souls 3 folder
copy the first folder, it should be comprised of numbers and some letters
make a new folder in desktop or documents, or something like that
paste the save on there
I recommend doing this every time you quit dark souls 3 for the day

NO prod set this up for views. His tiny stream wouldn't attract this amount of attention. Also the fact that he's constantly invaded by hackers makes it pretty obvious. Most hackers in this game are subtle so they don't get banned. Modding stats attacks they don't break peoples games all day. That's ridiculous. You can look at anyone else's live streams of this game (people with waaaaaaaaaaaay more viewers) and this type of shit never happens. Unless his community is reallyu that overrun with hackers. Like you have to consider that only his followers will know he's playing. His community produced all of these hackers. But it was most likely setup for views......

There is sides of hackers cancer ones and cool and funny ones im hacking in diffrent games on pc like 10 years like mw1 mw2 mw3 warrock crossfire counter strike series and much more but like in cs warrock crossfire i just inject the hack but dont use it on that games are much cancer hackers like rage aimboting through walls then i hack them down or in the most hacks that i use are kick tools then i kick if u hack like cancer its fun but after couple of days u lose the fun on the game and then u only grind i played ds 3 on ng +9 then i started hacking little bit but only fair stuff like that mini boss

Steam should detect if cheat engine is open, and force you to play offline, or better yet, just ban the account indefinitely.
That's a bit harsh, cheet engine is used for a lot of things other then cheating for instance it was used to make the original dark souls before they 'remastered' it actually playable

Stay on pc. I'd love to play with you while streaming. Download the blue sentinel mod. It's an anticheat mod that reads what everyone is inputting and if they input invalid data such as a modded weapon or try to force your game to do something, it immediately kicks them from your lobby and bans them from joining you again. Even their alt characters

LOL, my first Troll was a "Butcher Bitch" cosplay on the Road of Sacrifices, and she was a Cleric. Worker Hat, Master's Set, Loin Cloth, Priest's Chime, Butcher Knife, and Force.

Medium Heal. I know, there's a stronger Heal, you get with the Cleric? You also come with a Talisman to Poise cast, but 1: MH is faster to cast, and 2: It was Possible to escape my trap. 3: Gentle prayer to conserve Estus. Back in the day, it was a pretty popular spot. (Like August of 2016 I believe.) I didn't have any high level gear, nothing past Exiles at least, just unlocked the Cathedral of the Deep/Rosaria, and didn't know about the Respec Glitch. I needed a Pale Tongue to respec for the Abyss Watchers, basically. No idea WTF I was doing, it was just my 2nd character! (The first was a Herald cosplaying Hilde from Soul Calibur with Spear, and Broadsword.)
I have played the PC version since it came out and I have never met a hacker. Me thinks since you are streaming this you are presenting yourself as prime bait.

CaptToilet I run into them fairly regularly. Not nearly as bad as prod had it, but let's say I play 5 days in a row, at least one of those days I'll run into one or two. Most of the time they make it subtle tho. Not as in your face as the dudes in this video, so unless you knew what to look for you wouldn't even know. A new player would think they were just stomped by a legit badass. And then you have the awesome "hackers" (modders) who make some pretty neat multiple stage mini-bosses, and actually play it straight and give you a chance to win if you're good enough.
Yeah...that's absolute bullshit. I've played for around 1k hours and in that time I've come across hundreds of hackers. To be fair though, most of them were script kiddies who just got CE and were easy to deal with.
I have 300 hours so far and NEVER met a hacker either. But yeah, this happens when you stream.. Same thing happened to Fighter. :p

My favorite hacker was a dude with character named "Stomp Boy" who had naked Smough-sized thunder thighs and ran around doing the first half of the greatsword weapon-art as he moved. He just invaded, then proceeded to fuck around (as he was invincible) and occasionally fly, confusing the shit out of other invaders.

Hackers who set out to spoil your game give the PC community a bad name. I remember a hacker called FoxyJustWantsAFriend who had little defenders send me death threats on Steam....Resulting in ME getting banned from the forum for 7 days

The only proper hacker I ever encountered in DS3 made my already anorexic one-shot dragon build so thin that the character looked like a skeleton. I stopped using dragon form, respecced at Rosaria, and now invade around Catacombs 2.0 as "B0newheel."
I hate it so fucking much when streamers say that they are the only ones to get hackers... i had so many hackers in my 1k hours of ds3, there's not enough fingers in the entirety of China to count them.

Not an issue though, since cheat engine can be used to counter the vast majority (read: not Malcolm Reynolds tier) of the script kiddies.

Dude, you NEED to do this.
Shift+tab when you're in the game, click "players" and look up "recent players" or what it's called. Click the name of the player who's invade-hacking like this (most likely only one dude, using different characters - or atleast different names). Then you report them, and "block all communications with this player".
This way, you're not likely to ever interact with them like this ever again.
There ARE hackers like this, I've encountered plenty of them, but at the rate you're encountering them, it's likely a stream-sniper who's out to try to get attention from you, and it's likely ONE person. Block that kid and keep playing your game.

Reporting someone's Steam profile for hacks is a red herring to make people feel better.
It's like how CSGO lets you pick report reasons, when all reporting can do is send an 8 round game demo to overwatchers if it was a comp game, and only if they've already been reported enough within the same day.
Yeah, I highly advise getting PVP Watchdog, it helps.
Long time console DS3 player, Just had my first encounter with a hacker. Bought the game since it was 75% off on Steam. It’s very unfortunate that there are people out there that find doing this entertaining; makes you wonder how low their life must be. I’ll have to play the game offline to avoid these lowlifes.

Aric Shadow Dragon Hackers on PC are incredibly rare. The only reason he has so many is because he's a big DS TH-cam and because he simply allowed it. Look at otz he hasn't constant hackers when he olays due to those 2 reasons alone, and when he ask for it to stop they mainly will.

The extent of hacking on your average PC day is just people running invincibility and no hit boxes. The worst I've seen is the layering all kinds of special effects on screen at once and the Ogre guy.
Aric Shadow Dragon I can’t say that I’ve played pc ds3 but I’ve seen a lot of clips with hackers running around, damnnohtml videos being a good example. Meanwhile on xb1 in almost a thousand hours since game launch I’ve had no cheater issues besides the odd twink, if you’d call that cheating .
Gotten cursed, been forced to pick up and eat a boss soul, had my FPS run down to zero to crash mygame, fought unstaggering invulnerable reviving foes, people with no hitboxes that you couldn't lock onto, had all of my gear broken and been staggerlocked off of ledges, etc.
The true dark souls begins here. The only solution is to out cheat engine the cheaters.

so. you need to remove password matching as soon as you get your friendly phantoms in. invaders can also use passwords to always invade you.
essentially cheat engine has no limits. ce users can make themselves invader phantoms ally phantoms or hosts in any game allowing them to fight bosses and trigger events such as orbeck. this also means they wont get banished by boss fog, and that they can summon other phantoms
the same rules apply to hackers as trolls. the more you feature them in vids. the more you react to them. the more they will flock to you
