    Hi, I love using my Denon SC6000 gear at home for regular mixing. I don't use special features like loops or hot cues. I'm planning to start playing again and have a spot at a festival. I'm considering getting a Pioneer XDJ 1000 MK2 to make sure my USB sticks work properly. Would that be a good choice? Would it be close enough to get a feel of how an CDJ 2000 Nexus 2, or a CDJ 3000 feels like?

      Hi mate - first congratulations on getting a spot at a festival! That’s mega! I’ll let others on here respond who may have used that specific gear but my initial reaction is yes that sounds like a good plan given what you’ve said. You get to know Rekordbox, you will have confidence that the usb works and from what I’ve heard the layout on the integrated mixer should be close enough to not surprise you. Anyone else here got any thoughts?

    Thanks for sharing, pretty cool making live music so much potential.
    Was thinking it might be cheaper to sign up to a record pool rather than paying for individual songs.

      Thanks Jason - appreciate the comment. I tried a record pool about a year and a bit ago but went back to Beatport. Can’t remember quite why I didn’t stick with it but I’ll take another look now you’ve mentioned. Any recommendations?

      @@ebow707 it’s quite hard to choose tbh I’m currently with DJ City but not sure if I will stay with them long they’re okay but feel there something missing.

      @@JasonTheCosta - I’ll def take a look. Especially if there are tracks there specific to a record pool site. I know I should look around a bit more for sure to keep things fresh

      @@ebow707 Yeah let me know if come across any good ones. I mainly went with DJ City for the price. I feel with record pools it can be more cost effective than purchasing tracks individually.

    Hi! I just bought a DJM A9 and I would also like to buy a pair of CDJ 3000. How do you like the players? I've seen all kinds of complaints about them... Not so responding cue buttons, bad plastic that softens in the heat of the sun, differences between jogs from deck to deck and other functions that don't work properly. I guess you also updated to the latest firmware, what is your personal opinion about them? I could also go with Denon players, but I lose pro dj link and cue link. Anyway, I don't like the Denon mixer compared to the A9... Thank you!

      Hi mate - I have only had them a short while so I can’t answer all your points (hoping someone else on here may) but so far I have loved them. All tech has its quirks - the Denons I had most definitely did but you work with them. So far the only thing I’m learning my way around which didn’t exist on the Denon is when I have a preset loop, it seems that if I tighten that loop as part of a transition and hit stop - that when I come back to that loop that it doesn’t reset to where it was, like 4 bars for example, it’s still in the last tightened position. Outside of that the jogs have been good, I like the feel of the cue and the hot cues. And I agree if you want pro dj link maybe best going with them. How good is the DJM A9 btw! They got my use - my only concern is what a few others have been saying for a while now which is Pioneer/Alpha isn’t going to work hard to make them much better than they are today so if that’s important to you then just be aware I guess.

      Yes, I was talking purely technically if you have problems with them! Thanks for the reply! A9 seems wonderful to me. Until about 10 years ago I also mixed at festivals and other events, but in the last 10 years I was only at parties and weddings, with a controller setup. So, like you, I have the impression that I'm a beginner even though I've been mixing for over 20 years... 😂 I got used to manipulating the filters and effects in Traktor, the muscle memory of the location of the buttons and how much to rotate them.. It will take me a while to get used to the new mixer. But it sounds very good and is a solid piece of equipment. I had almost forgotten how professional equipment heats up... 🤭
      For loops that auto activate when the song gets to them, search how to set and use memory cue, maybe that will help you! I didn't dig too much here because I don't really use it except for some cue points that I set to signal the possible exit points in a song. But I know that you can also save loops and set them to be active, that is, to automatically enter the loop when the song reaches that point (at least in recordbox and I hope is on CDJs also). Cheers!

      They always update most of new Djing gear to buy courses and lean how to use them. What I can remember they have 2or3 hours of your pioneer 3000 step by step. They will be a new book released soon, if you can't wait, get it one Kindle before book release date. Ohh as you are club DJ they always have pioneer set up not like Denton, Newmark etc

    What camera do u use to record if you don’t mind me asking

    • @ebow707
      @ebow707  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not at all chief. Use an iPhone 13 and the normal camera app with an iRig 2 plugged in the lightening port to the mixer for sound. The side camera is an iPhone 11 with a DJI mic plugged into the lightening adapter for voice . Use LumaFusion on the iPhone to edit
