I really enjoyed this trip down memory lane. Loved seeing so many homies share their reflections. You really found the heart of the sport through your storytelling. Well done.
Finally the perfect Footbag video to show our friends and family. Not just amazing tricks to show the sport but enough story telling sequences of interviews to fully explain what Footbag is and how fun and meaningful it is to those who pour their soles into. You must've had a hundred hours of Footage to select such amazing highlights and piece them together so masterfully. Bravo, Bravo!!!
Thank you Lon! The goal was always to create a film to explain what 'professional Hacky Sack' looks like. Certainly took a lot to edit, so thank you for your supportive words! It was a lot of fun filming with the Boise crew, and is an experience I will always remember🙏🏼💖
Loved the overall message! It was so classic with all the old legends. Had a nice pace and the story flowed well. RIP to Rippin who built freestyle into what it is today
Freestyle footbag is rad! Loved watching this and seeing the progression from a simple "keep-it-up" game to advanced trick combinations. Thanks for sharing this!
This video beautifully captures the essence of Footbag-bringing back all the nostalgia, amazing memories, and incredible people. The stunning shots and the effort behind this project are truly appreciated-thank you for making it happen! It would be fantastic to see a similar approach applied to the development of the sport in Latin America and Europe as well. Each of us holds a piece of this story worth sharing.
@@Hackrifice aww thanks Erik! This is a cherished comment coming from you. I think of everyone I know still active in the sport, you and I go back the longest. As I get older I realize the memories we share with our friends and family are among the most precious aspects of the human experience. Shred Zero & Hackrifice for life!! 🥹❤️
Thank you! Yes a massive thanks to the community for rallying behind this effort, and motivating me to keep going through the adversity of the editing process 🙏🏼⚽
Love it! Well done, man! Really takes me back, to so many good times, so many places, and faces. What a great sport. It's as deep as one wants to dive (or duck). Float like a Butterfly. Sting like a Scorpion's Tail. Chase the Dragonfly Kick.
I had the great pleasure and luck of attending the same community college in VA with Tuan Vu and he introduced me to footbag. Me and my other friends and random people would stop and kick in between classes and just be amazed at what he would pull out of his bag of tricks. I was also able to kick with Pete Irish, Kenny Shultz a few times, around DC and VA and I have photos of Rick Reese at a contest in PA. This documentary brought back some good memories and was very well done. Very nice work! good soundtrack too.
After many years at the top, he ran into some challenges a while back and is currently not playing or involved in the sport. We spoke before making this film, but weren't able to get him involved. Maybe there is room for a sequel..
