    The drilled and slotted rotors was the first thing I did to my KIA I agree that it makes it look sick. I’m ready to see the new wheels 🛞

    Nice as usual just wondering do they grab better and how the brake dust compare to OEM or it's it for the looks thanks in advance

      Thankyou! Id say its for the looks as the brembo brakes already do a good job.

    I got a 2019 gts & im from ny, roughly 30k miles, i got it last year w 21k miles.. I experienced the shaking as early as a week after getting the car and from research off the bat I knew goin to the dealership would just be a band aid, last few months been doing extensive research on what rotors / pad setup to go with, it’ll hurt me to spend a lot on “upgraded” rotors if the problem still persists after a few months so I’m deciding rn between goin stock rotors since a lot say stock rotors are solid and whatver solid aftermarket pads out there since majority is ruling the pads as the culprit of the shaking. The drilled and slotted look sick & would really compliment the vehicle even more. Steering wheel shaking only occurs after a few heavy braking. Seems to be when the rotors get a little warm the shaking comes and it comes and goes so i know I have pad life but rotors are prob warped .. I can careless ab a little noise as long as this bitch stops shaking I’m tired of people getting in the car and say wtf is that shaking 😂but yea ina little predicament rn on what setup
    To go with

    Hi,
    Did you change the pads as well or only the Rotors.?
    I got AWD and the ceramic pads on the website look little different than the stock.
    What should I do? Should I use my old pads with the new rotors.?
    Thank you

    • @DARKRISE
      @DARKRISE  ปีที่แล้ว

      I kept the old pads on since they had alot of life left. Guess if you have the money might aswell change them. But I haven’t had issues with the oem brake pads and they don’t coat my wheels with brake dust either so Ill leave them for now.

    On the r1concepts website, I put in my car info. I have a 2022 kia Stinger gt line, and it only gives me the rear rotor set and not both front and rear. Why is that? Is it because the front rotors won't fit on my car or is it something else.

    Did you clean the rotors before you put them on? As in wipe them down with brake cleaner or soapy water.

    Great video man! I have a 2019 Kia stinger Gt2 and I am going to be doing the rear pads and rotors. I have been hearing stuff about the parking break engaging on its own even if its off and no light on the dash. Did you have to put the parking break in service mode? If so how did you do it?

    • @DARKRISE
      @DARKRISE  ปีที่แล้ว

      One trick is to have someone stand outside and listen if the parking brake engages. Remove the battery to prevent it from engaging

    I was told by a few people to open the lid on the brake reservoir (to be able to push back the pistons more easily) but I haven’t seen that on any video. Is that something you would recommend?

    Awesome video and the rotors look perfect. Will this help with the gentle shaking I feel during heavy braking? I've read something about the shaking being from the brake pads or buildup of brake dust, but I honestly don't know enough about disc brakes to know if new rotors would fix the shaking issue. Thanks

      Stephen, I'm about to do my rotors for this reason. I started to get that shaking feeling under braking as well, and it was due to warped rotors. This was at 40kmiles for me. I had the rotors resurfaced and replace the stock pads with some aftermarket pads, and they are now warped again at 60k. I'm going to replace the rotors with some stoptech rotors and hope it solves the issue.

    Great channel and content. These rotors look cool but are unfortunately a downgrade in every other aspect. The best rotors for daily driving are vented plain rotors. The stock rotors are great, the pads are not. Replace the pads and you have a great setup.

      Lol love his reply but I can put my 2 cents in…from my understanding there is no substantial benefit from drilled rotors. They don’t provide more stopping power and are actually less durable than slotted rotors. The holes are supposed to give more air flow but it comes at a cost as they crack easier than just slotted rotors. “EngineeringExplained” did a good video on the science behind it. In my opinion these rotors are a solid choice because of the price but I would go with just slotted rotors if they’re an option.

    • @mrscottmescudi10
      @mrscottmescudi10 ปีที่แล้ว

      One thing to note though is to reach the temps it takes to actually crack these rotors you’d have to be going to the track daily so if you like the drilled look then you do you
