And I’m also starting my own cargo trailer conversion. So that has got me into watching a crap-ton of cargo conversion videos the last few weeks. I am more of a stealth Class B camper van man myself, but, I still enjoy watching other RV builds as well. Yours ranks very high in the ones I've seen in the last three years of this type build. As for the complainers of this video I have a few words to YOU: several have complained about the music being too loud, not needed, etc. If you thought this then why not turn it down or mute it...DUH! Also, Complainers, you cried about there being no narration. Did you forget that Brian, in the very beginning, stated this was a slide show? Helllooooo! Besides, no narration was needed, as far as I could see, as, everything was common sense as to what was being shown...obviously you complainers weren't blessed with that at birth...COMMON SENSE!...stay with me. It's quite apparent to me, as are million other folks watching this video, that you're not happy unless you're complaining and trying to tear someone down. Get a grip; that's nothing more than your own insecurity ripping a hole through you from the ground up (think about that phrase, Complainers). great color scheme all around great job on the build and presentation. Sometimes pictures are better because most of the people shooting these videos are clearly not pros and they get in their own way of trying to present by shaking, not making sure the lighting is in the right spots. Its frustrating when your trying to learn all you can, so bravo on the pictures

Remember when building that THE ONLY horizontal support comes from the back door and front shield wall so reinforce the front and rear b4 going any further, just like this person did. AWESOME job BTW!!!_!
Not sure if I under stand the use of the Bed bay in the bulk head but good work, tell me did you put any under lay under the vinyl flooring or did you feel it was not required?
very nice build. Not a "sneak camper" though with all that window space. Batteries in box on front? Any AC power used inside other than to the inverter? What material is the sink back splash? Looks metallic.
Hey Joe. So ya my battery is in the front tongue box. As for ac power the plug for the Inverter was the only power I had. I definetly changed that on my latest trailer. I've added plenty of ac and dc throughout. The backsplash is actually aluminum double sticky splash. They have it at home depot and Lowes. A little different styles at each store.

What did you use to skin the outside walls and where did you get it..??.. In addition, I didn't notice any reference as to how you insulated the floor (if you did) and what you did to the underside of the raw plywood floor..??? Did you add another skin fastened to the underside of the deck..??
That's a nice looking trailer. Can I guess that you're either in Montana or Colorado? Maybe Idaho I don't know, but that's what the back ground looks like. Also, nice shop and the pocket hole system is a good idea.
Your videos are super impressive man! Do you do this for work or did you have time off during Covid or something? I'm restoring a motorhome on weekends and it's taking forever. Every little mini project turns into 4 or 5 full blown projects. Im usually good at guesstimating how long something will take, I've been wrong every step of the way.. Also they do not build them to be disassembled. I can't believe some of the construction techniques they use. Its almost shameful. You have the right idea taking it to the bare bones and staring from scratch. Thanks for documenting, I look forward to any future videos!
Did you use any rust inhibitor or a special primer on your prepared metal? What paint did you use? I’ve got a boxtruck that I’m getting ready for a conversion and it’s got a fair amount of rust to deal with.
Ryan Christie. First of all thanks for checking out my video. And yes i did use a rust inhibitive primer. Purchased mine from a place called NCS (national coatings & supplies) it's a high solid high performance primer/rust inhibitor. M-2516 is the part number. And for the paint I used industrial speed alkyd enamel. M2502 I also decided to to use enamel activator in the paint which improves dry time, gloss retention, and durability.
