Lovely video Harry. I targeted grayling this season for the first time after a couple of accidental captures the season before. What worked very well for me when going for better ones is to not feed at all and trot a small or medium branding worm. The best I had that was 2lb 2oz using that method, and a few others just shy of 2lb. The thinking is that the bigger fish will bully and push the smaller ones off when they see the hookbait. You can't get that effect by feeding, but you will catch more if you feed maggots, you then hope that catching a few smaller ones does not spook the bigger ones. The other top tip from me is not to feed many maggots in one go. If you do, the trout will quickly bother you. And I once tried to fish out all the trout from one hole in the hope that the grayling would eventually show... 30 trout later I moved on 😑 The best I had this year was 2lb 4oz, a PB, and is a good fish from the river in question. That was on a single maggot.
THIS VIDEO SAVED MY MARRIAGE.
Because now, my collection of rods and reels seems very reasonable 😅👊
Thanks man!
