Tom was just a regular guy to his core. In the early 90s I lived in St Augustine beach a block over from his house, and frequently ran into him at the corner Jiffy mart and on the beach. I helped him bungy-cord a case of beer onto his moped, I talked surf-casting fishing with him, and shared a joint with him several times. He fit right into the townie-beach-life, and said he liked the area because he could go days with a ball cap and shades on with nobody bothering him. LOVE TOM MISS TOM.

I knew Tom Petty lived in Malibu, but never seen his house until now. I’m glad they have public access to the beach, but you sure have to look for that spot to get in!, Great video!

Best rocker we’ve ever had. NEVER once sold out, never sold his soul…in fact “they” tried to MURDER Tom and his whole family by setting his house on fire…he immediately wrote “I WON’T BACK DOWN “ afterwards, and every lyric was aimed directly at the cowards who tried to kill him…and he knew who was responsible but never said a word..absolute badass until the very end…and his music NEVER faltered..his music that aren’t his 30 plus hits, are even better imo…the MUDCRUTCH stuff is incredible too and Hypnotic Eye, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers last full album is a modern rock masterpiece..his album, Mojo,is a modern blues masterpiece…George Harrison said he thought Tom was the best he’d ever been around or heard, and that was in the late 80s, 88 or 89…when they were doing the Traveling Wilburys albums, and I whole heartedly agree, best rock band all time

Tom and Neil Young is the only musicians that i can say that i likes all there songs that they wrote.The lyrics and Toms voice is something special! Rest in peace Tom ❤ I will always miss you!

Gone too soon...but wow! what an area to live! Great vid keep em' coming! By the way with all this jaywalking you're doing locals must raise an eyebrow, something you don't see a lot of in the States (I've been to the States a few times and you see few people walking around unless there are shops or in a built up area).
I don't think i even saw a crosswalk in Malibu. There's going to be a lot of videos from LA
His ashes given to family someone say some of ashes spread over ocean who knows. Idk it's really sad when people are just turned into ashes. :'(

cool and sad @ the same time. back in 02, Tom P. and Jackson B. were touring together, I went to buy a ticket & I couldn't afford it. Ticket Master had started putting "Surcharges" on their tickets. Something I never heard of @ that time. the Ticket was $20 with another additional $20 of Surcharges. I didn't get to see him or Jackson B.
