We call this 'Eurodance' from the 90s. The Netherlands was famous for its Eurodance.. 2unlimited, Vengaboys, 2 brothers on the fourth floor, Alice Deejay, Twenty 4 Seven, T-Spoon
I am watching a lot of compilations and even i knew just 20 of songs from this list.
Part 1 was iconic.
There are 19 songs produced in Italy on this list. (there are many, more beautiful ones missing).
Some curiosities:
When you said for the song of "Playahitty" that it sounded like "The Rhythm of the Night" by Corona you involuntarily said something right. They are not similar as songs but they are sung by the same person, the Italian singer Jenny B.
Alexia (real name Alessia Aquilani) is in the video with 5 tracks. 3 of her songs ("Gimme Love" - "Uh la la la" - "Summer is Crazy") and in 2 as female voice in the Ice MC project.
Italian singer Robert Miles' (RIP) song "One and one" was the best-selling single in Italy in 1996.
Only 9 of the songs had hits or mild hits. KLF, Technotronic, Ace Of Base, and the likes had hits. Ace of Base had like 5 mainstream radio airplay hits. Rednex second minor hit was the one on this list.
I was born in Europe but barely know any of these songs, pretty sure most of them weren't hits at all
Most of the songs were hits in 90's.
I grow up in Europe and I know 90% of those songs they were popular at clubs in the 90's
