Sanctum design isn't the problem, its a POE 2 problem. Sanctum IS rewarding in POE 1 and most of the time you get 80 % buffs that trivialize it in comparison with the debuffs. But in POE 2 now only did they keep the debuffs the same as in POE 1, but you are now much slower and there are almost no buffs you can get with your Sacred Water without a Merchant. It also doesn't help that it just isn't a mechanic that all builds and archetypes should engage with. In POE 1 you only really farm it with specific Sanctum farming builds.
Sanctum is so unbelievably unfun. Especially since it's how you unlock ascendancy....you know....the thing that can fundamentaly change your class and make the game actually fun.
Poe1 Sanctum was one of my favourite systems but the Poe2 one just feels annoying af. You get pretty much zero guaranteed reward and you just try to not get fucked by afflictions.
Hmmm i like sanctum in poe1 , in poe2 ... not so much. But still better than trial of chaos imo. It would be great if we had some way to ascend without bs rng methods ( lvl 85 sorc and still haven't found 1 key to even try 4th ascend)
it's so dumb. After all that hard work, I get rewarded with blood mage. Now my character sucks ass, and I HAVE to get 2 more points to make it SOMEWHAT viable.
Ascending in general just sucks. It's too easy to brick a run on RNG. They were fine as optional challenge yourself content but had the lowest interaction rate for a reason. Forcing them into the game as mandatory is insane.
1st of all, the ``honour`` system is garbage and both ways to Ascend as Warrior are painful and a terrible experience. 2nd of, i legit cannot understand how the AoE is so big to make all enemies explode. I break the armor in one hit but its only on 3/4 enemies and sometimes enemies standing next to it in the Aoe of it dont even get phased. I followed the entire build up untill lvl75, my mace swing easily breaks the armor but it never goes past a few enemies and unless its something in the Warbringer tree i cant access because im playing Titan i cannot figure out what is causing these insane mace swing Aoe hits splashing to everyone on screen like that My build isnt crazy expensive but like i said i easily do enough to one shot break armor of the first enemy i see, to then see it go to the next 2 enemies and then stop and either skip a few enemies or just do nothing. I dont get why. My accuracy is high enough, so is my dps on mace swing with following the build. Im so lost on how this autoattack works with the aoe its (not) having for me. Sunder is a way faster clear speed for me, and in higher maps i feel this is gonna bottleneck me like crazy and thats what im worried for.
I fucking hate both, the honor mechanic is absolute shit, I hate it, it could be done in a different way if they wanna keep it, at least have it reset, also, the debuffs, nerf you way too fucking much and the buffs you get are mid af, ultimatum is also annoying af, and the fact that on a loss in either, you lose the entry ticket, so you're locked out of the upgrade that you would get if you finish it until you get lucky enough to have the barya or ultimatum drop
Sanctum was trash in POE1. Range MURDEED it, Melee got trashed... And POE2 is even slower than POE1 so it makes it SO much worse... I liked Ultimatum. I hate it as an ascendency task. I hope they fix it before launch because if not; you will have WAYYYY too many kids crying that the game is too hard when the normies hit the game.
Who thinks sanctum is fun? Well, sanctum is SHIT. It has always been shit, it was shit at the respective league, and in every league after that, and it seems in every game after that.
Bro, I think what cancels your skills is blocking Seems like you literally can't attack while blocking, which is why yiu can't do anything while surrounded by enemies lmao
Don't kill me, but I like Sanctum as a league mechanic. It rewards specific types of builds. However, Sanctum as a mechanic to ascend is pretty bullshit. If they want to keep it ( and Ultimatum ) as ascending mechanism, they need to make all 4 ascendancy trials quest items and make quest variants of Sanctum/Ultimatum much more build agnostic ( remove honour as mechanic in ascendancy Sanctum, nerf a lot of Ultimatum mods in ascendancy Ultimatum ).
T3 sanctum is very easy if you get a move speed buff and avoid run killing neg boons. A lot of the neg boons are not that bad. I beat it on my 3rd try with a no block titan build. Hammer of the gods maxxing + movespeed is basically required since it allows you to deal dmg without trading and lets you kite while waiting for the cd

Your Music and Sudden effects are so loud hard to hear what your saying..
Guys, How do i use two handed weapon and Shields?
Giant`s blood node (Dont take this unless you got like 350+ str tho)
yeah sanctum took the fun out for me.
I wish atk speed had more impact. Maybe even on animations. The one gem feels like it does nothing.
Sanctum as a forced mechanic is dumb. Lab wasn't so bad because they gave you tools for the job.
Sanctum is fun, but having it as ascendancy trial together with Ultimatum is absolutely garbo
Should be something you go do, because... You want to xD
Turn this man down to 5% volume before watching.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who fucking hates Sanctum
Ya know... the pros told me to follow a guide. They didnt say anything about following my own guide. PYRO GLASS CANNON SORC WILL PREVAIL
Poe1 Sanctum was one of my favourite systems but the Poe2 one just feels annoying af. You get pretty much zero guaranteed reward and you just try to not get fucked by afflictions.
The fun part of Sanctum is that if you play whit your homies if some gets hit...... everyone takes damage... gl hf k 10x bay
I like sanctum
Based
Hmmm i like sanctum in poe1 , in poe2 ... not so much. But still better than trial of chaos imo. It would be great if we had some way to ascend without bs rng methods
( lvl 85 sorc and still haven't found 1 key to even try 4th ascend)
You did get dumpstered by that last guy, but sanctum still sucks
guess we just have to wait for lab to come back pepw
i played sanctum 2 times in POE1 and hated the shiiiiiiiiiTTT out of it and never ever ever tried it after that!!
it's so dumb. After all that hard work, I get rewarded with blood mage.
Now my character sucks ass, and I HAVE to get 2 more points to make it SOMEWHAT viable.
Are you completely done with ror2? There was an update you didn't even talk about.
Ascending in general just sucks. It's too easy to brick a run on RNG. They were fine as optional challenge yourself content but had the lowest interaction rate for a reason. Forcing them into the game as mandatory is insane.
GGG bring back IZARO pls! I just want to give him a hug and beg forgiveness
im fine with sanctum, just make it not necessary to play because I have yet to have a good run. Its always boring/bad.
Just lost twice in a row due to the honor running out even though I was still alive. this is such trash
Yup they have to remove the Honour!!! Rest is fine
Melee is always shit in poe.
Best build so far
1st of all, the ``honour`` system is garbage and both ways to Ascend as Warrior are painful and a terrible experience.
2nd of, i legit cannot understand how the AoE is so big to make all enemies explode. I break the armor in one hit but its only on 3/4 enemies and sometimes enemies standing next to it in the Aoe of it dont even get phased. I followed the entire build up untill lvl75, my mace swing easily breaks the armor but it never goes past a few enemies and unless its something in the Warbringer tree i cant access because im playing Titan i cannot figure out what is causing these insane mace swing Aoe hits splashing to everyone on screen like that
My build isnt crazy expensive but like i said i easily do enough to one shot break armor of the first enemy i see, to then see it go to the next 2 enemies and then stop and either skip a few enemies or just do nothing.
Sanctum sucks for the warrior class. I hate it
I fucking hate both, the honor mechanic is absolute shit, I hate it, it could be done in a different way if they wanna keep it, at least have it reset, also, the debuffs, nerf you way too fucking much and the buffs you get are mid af, ultimatum is also annoying af, and the fact that on a loss in either, you lose the entry ticket, so you're locked out of the upgrade that you would get if you finish it until you get lucky enough to have the barya or ultimatum drop
"monsters on the next floor cant damage you" wow so mid youre definitely not just getting filtered
@@David-ry4rcYou point out one of the few decent buffs. Not exactly impressive.😂
I enjoy sanctum but I also play sorc....
They dont have to remove the debuffs but def the hornour stuff. Just not fun let me run and smash
My takeaway from this is, if you wanted to play a souls game, just play elden ring.
Imagine dying with shield xD
Nobody likes Sanctum
Nice shirt bro
Sanctum was trash in POE1. Range MURDEED it, Melee got trashed... And POE2 is even slower than POE1 so it makes it SO much worse... I liked Ultimatum. I hate it as an ascendency task. I hope they fix it before launch because if not; you will have WAYYYY too many kids crying that the game is too hard when the normies hit the game.
I was liking sanctum…. But they need to tune this stuff down.
Who thinks sanctum is fun?
Well, sanctum is SHIT. It has always been shit, it was shit at the respective league, and in every league after that, and it seems in every game after that.
Change to titan. All problems go away
I also hate sanctum
Bro, I think what cancels your skills is blocking
Seems like you literally can't attack while blocking, which is why yiu can't do anything while surrounded by enemies lmao
i 100000% hate sanctum
I hate sanctum.
I hate Sekhema's "fun" rooms...
