I love the robot point of view in this series. No big plot, no confusing motive. Just simply “you want to turn us off therfore you are the enemy “
I hate that in survival/horror movies, there are always groups of people are surviving just fine. Then the main characters show up and get everyone killed, then on to ruin the next group of people. And then they get upset and don't understand why people just want to be left TF alone.
To be honest this movie shows that it's not humans they are worried about skynet practically this means at some point the survivor group's will be found one way or another

Terminator 3 and Salvation are 14 years apart, U.S oil reserves can last for 5 years for a full functioning country. However, the resistance are a fraction of the intended reserve supply. They hesitated to engage missions unless absolutely necessary, they manufactured bullets and reserviced pre war assets. Its possible for a resistance force to keep going when you don't have to refuel 72 F-18's from an aircraft carrier...
Terminator, T2, and the video game Terminator Resistance should be the proper trilogy of the franchise.

The Video game is crap. This movie is way better.
The game should have taken this movies story.
This is the only terminator movie I like after the first 2. Idk why it gets so much hate at least they did something new instead of repeating the same plot over and over. The tv show was pretty good too.

I never understand why when they make robots in movies they almost always look humanoid and most vulnerable spot is head like ours.
I know what you mean, but in this case, the humanoid robots were meant as infiltration units.

I think it's to make them more "human" and less likely to make people freak out about their existence

@@joeblow229 Yes, the T-800 was specifically designed to be the most "human-like" among the infiltrator units. What I loved about this movie, though, is they showed the earlier designed T-600, which Kyle originally stated donned rubber skin and were easier to spot. But those were also terrifying in appearance (just as the T-800s without flesh). So, the terminator models were also specifically designed to elicit fear and terror in the remaining human survivors.
The humanoid form IS the most versatile after all, albeit the head is not that needed, just some 360 cameras

Well, the explosion wasn't just for cover. Since it was magnetic mines made for machines, Marcus couldn't pass through the field. Coming to the realization that he is a machine, thus preventing it from sticking to him again

I never understood why this movie gets sh!t on as often as it does. This movie and T2 are the 2 best TERMINATOR movies. This movie actually follows cannon too I believe

They harmlessly throw people around when they could instantly kill them in a variety of ways.

14:56 Most underrated terminator movie of all time. Original script was after successful transplant John Connor to Marcus body. When he woke up, John killed all the resurgence. Prove Skynet still winning. But the plot leaked online and people were furious. The director need to readjusted the script. Now, we’ve got this movie now. What if the script wasn’t leaked out. We will have best plot twist ever. 😢
Thats an unsatisfying ending. You sit through 2 hrs of the heroes struggling to win only to lose in the last minutes of the movie, glad they changed it

In the comics, I heard Marcus actually survives because his body is able to regenerate on its own. The catch is that it takes forever.

This movie had its flaws, sure, but damn I enjoyed it at the time it came out. They completely messed up by not making it an R rating, though. Regardless, I loved finally getting to see the future war we saw tiny pieces of in T1 and T2. Long live!

So assuming Skynet can hear and see everything Marcus can, wouldn’t it have been easy to identify and kill Kyle Reese? And how does Skynet even figure out at this stage in the war that John Connor is the one responsible for its defeat in the future?

This movie follows T3. T3 takes place in 2003 because, in T2, the Connors destroyed Cyberdine. Later in T3, John found out they only Delayed judgment day. So they didn't stop it.

This movie is so dumb. Marcas is infinitely more useful to the resistance alive than his heart being used to save one person. Even if John is the "Chosen One" because Marcas can easily replace him in history as the "Chosen One" that led humanity to survival. He's more durable, stronger, and resourceful. It's just a stupid plot point because he wasn't in the previous movies.
Let's make an extremely useful and intelligent cyborg that's on the side of humanity to further the plot of our movie. Oh wait, he's not in the other movies. That's okay. He just randomly gives his heart to a guy he just met because we'll put them in an impossible position where John's only chance at survival is a heart, and ONLY Marcus is compatible. I'm a good writer!
How does a pipe through the chest call for a heart transplant anyway? Either the heart was impaled, and he would be dead or he wasn't, and you can repair the damage around the heart. You can't just partially damage a heart. You would bleed out in seconds. It's like puncturing all of your arteries at once. Heart transplants are usually only done for defective, deformed, or infected hearts. Damage to the surrounding tissues or the ventricles is just repaired, not transplanted. Not to mention that people who get heart transplants still need to take anti-rejection drugs in the form of steroids that weaken your immune system so it doesn't attack the transplant. Even with a compatable donor. In a post-apocalyptic world, that basically means death with the diseases that would run rampant and the food not stored or prepared properly.
Then, there's the whole matter of the "signal." When they tested it on the robot without it's receiver, how did the robot know to play dead? The signal would need to be detected, and then it would need receive instructions from Skynet to play dead. Unless Skynet planned the signal plan BEFORE the construction of that particular robot and pre-programmed it, which would be silly because a computer doesn't sit on a plan for months or years. They create it and implement it with efficiency.
So much has to go exactly right for this movie to make a lick of sense.
