Phil came to a little social club in Govan Glasgow for a charity match and donated over £39 grand to a great cause : he does great charity work but never mentions it

If your one of those under sorta 30 or 35 years old... please remember those words of phil that time flies!!! I promise ya, before ya know it youll be 50 and even if you think things will be diffrent for you- it wont! Time bloody flies and it only seems to move faster as you age.
Younger generation won’t ever know how good the 2000s decade was.

Taylor was unbelievable at his best a machine but not quite the same as Ronnie, he's just something special, an absolute pleasure to watch

32 world titles, 16 match 16 set. If anyone else can ever get near to half of that I would be amazed.
Gerwen should of ended his career with at least 8 World Titles but he really has messed up in the Worlds that's for sure.
@@peterruff5810also the standard is higher now…Phil put in the hours during the 90’s and it stood to him later in his career when a lot of the others didn’t….now they all put the hours in so it’s impossible for one player to dominate
Phils standard was still better than the standards of today and he did it on smaller boards

funny how he mentioned Steven Hendry, I got into darts when Phil was at his best. when MVG came through and Phil "retired" I felt the same. who is going to give me inspiration to play better. I'm going to have to watch some old clips to get inspired again. he made it look so easy. since then my dart game is terrible, some days I cant even go round the world. I'm in my mid 30's lmao

Phil i met you in Neasden in London. So kind player. In the pub playing for charity amazing person. I asked you to ring my daughter kelly. Who was 8. At the time. If you were losing she would change the chancel s hoping that you where winning when we got back. Never let us down amazing night s. Off joy whachin you. The Stoke on trend legend best ever walk on the joy you brought was amazing everyone has their day. But made you made everyone day Never the same since you retired. Boring ❤

Would taylor win 16 world titles these days? A few top players match taylor averages BUT what set him apart from the rest was when he was under pressure.he was unmatched.i still think he would dominate today because of that.
Only time i ever seen taylor rattled was when he was playing the crafty cockney bristow.bristow knew taylor was better but he used the crowd so well taylor almost lost,he almost looked like a broken man.
But the genius of taylor was he made sure nobody could ever do it do him again.
He probably has bristow to thank for some of that.taylor had the most bottle and nerve.lets focus on how great he actually was.hard to see another like him.complete package.enjoy your well earned retirement champ.
If you're now averaging 75 Phil then yes it's time to retire....please.

Maybe because I loved Eric so much (in darts) I did not like Phil, years go by and he has to be seen as a magician. MVG looked like he could take the mantle....will fall well short, have a good retirement Phil.
