When I heard Hooker was visiting Detroit I knew he would be coming our way. Honestly I think he's the biggest steal of the QBs in the draft. He's got an easy job right now, rehabilitate, study, and absorb everything. LETS GO!
Especially with how mobile he his. And the fact that our oline creates so many openings (that Goff never takes) we'll truly see this guy pop off once he's ready.

He is so much mature, seasoned and ready BECAUSE of his age, allowing him the experience and leadership! He is more ready at 25 than a 22 yr old draftee would be in 5 yrs!
You can tell by the way he talks too. It’s all natural and genuine. Nothing spoon fed, no generic answers he’s a grown up adult. I am so amped about this guy.

We might have us a gem right here. Dude has a GREAT attitude and man you gotta like hearing him speak and say all the right things. I don’t wanna get too excited but it’s hard not to. We’ll see about it. I’m pumped. These last 3 drafts have been unreal.
Don’t want to troll. But I really, really wanted my Raiders to draft Hendon Hooker. Hooker will be a super stud, & imo he’s the best QB in this draft. Lions got a super stud & I respect the Lions fan base. Both our franchises have been through a lot of storms. But Lions got a great coach, & building a SB team no doubt. Hendon Hooker will lead the Lions to a SB in next 3-5 years, BET. I’m glad the Lions got blessed with a future stud QB, and franchise QB. I just hope my Raiders don’t have to face Hendon Hooker come week 8. I just hope the Lions keep their coach, & understand the player that they got in Hendon Hooker. I’m jealous as can be, cause I know Hendon Hooker is a very special DUDE. Good luck to the Lions & Hendon Hooker. A Raiders and VOLUNTEERS fan for over four decades! I've been witness to not only every play Hendon was involved in over the past two years, but his maturation, growth and dedication as well.
He's a Film junky, comes early and leaves late, absolutely beloved/respected by his teammates and coaches and- though he exudes an extraordinary amount of confidence- he's intelligent, well spoken, compassionate and humble.
Congratulations to the Lions' Management and Coaching Staff for doing their homework and securing an absolute gem of a player, QB, Leader and human being- I assure Detroit's fans will not regret this pick!
I can also assure you that many Raiders fans such as myself already regret it, lol!
I'll be following Hooker and checking out any Detroit games in which he plays! Will also be pulling for the Lions unless they are playing the Raiders. Hope you can respect that. ✌💀🖤🍊🧡

I slighty disagree as hooker has a tendancy to replace the starters of his teams he's been on. Especially with his upsides compared to Jared I'd say be 24 he'll be seeing field time.

Between this and rookie camp observations from the beat writers, Hendon is already getting players to notice his leadership skills. Sticking next to the QB coaches, eating up what they have to say, and hyping up teammates when they make a good play.

I really think he could end up one of if not the top QB in the draft. Strong arm, good under pressure with great pocket awareness, accurate, doesn’t turn it over, hard worker that never had a job given to him. The one knock is his college offense but he was productive in a pro style offense as a freshman sophomore.
He reminds me of Deshaun Watson when he came out of Clemson for some reason .. he’s a bit more of a talker but idk something about him just reminds me of Watson? Damn he’s very comfortable with talking to the media .. very impressive in that regard alone!

As a huge Tennessee fan and someone who has followed Hendon for years, I think the Lions are getting the best quarterback in the draft, in my opinion. The dude is so solid inside and out; it’s a rarity. Let’s go Lions; let’s go Hendon!
Having Hendon Hooker drafted to Detroit really Detroit needs him to revitalize that city's sports so it makes perfect sense to draft Hendon Hooker. I can see Detroit getting a couple Super Bowls and NFC Championships with this guy

For the love of God, PLEASE do not extend/restructure Goff. His contract isn't guaranteed. I'd love to see Hooker be our starting QB in 2024...if not sooner. In all honesty, I was hoping like hell that we'd trade Goff before or during the draft for picks. Hendon Hooker is the real deal.
I love your optimism, but he still has some healing to do before his ACL is 100%. Let's not rush it. We're probably going to see him start in either 2024 or 2025 depending on how fast he learns the system. Their really is no rush as long as Goff doesn't regress!
