- It's a cheesy tradition held annually near the town of Gloucester, UK. Hundreds of volunteers risk their health to catch up with a cheese rolling down a steep hill. What makes adults throw themselves down a hill at breakneck speed to overtake a rolling cheese? Our reporter is taking part. Not only to find out who will win, but also to understand just why they are all doing this!!!

I live next to this hill and the cheese roll was cancelled this year due to corona virus but they rolled the cheese anyway to commemorate the occasion - it’s a super big event!!

She said in an interview: just run really really fast and don't try to stay up. Do not lean back trying to keep balance. Lean forward as if you were running a sprint.

Racing after an uncatchable cheese wheel is one of the most British things I’ve seen.

Even with good trail running shoes, this wet hill without paved track is still scary. I run in the mountains but I damn commend these crazy participants to tumble and hurt themselves to make it to the bottom of the hill first lol.

A remnant of the games that took place during Cooper's Hill Wake held on top of the hill on Whit Monday.
Others events included wrestling, shin kicking, girning, smock races, a maypole - and food and drink.

As it was, sort of, cancelled in 2020.. due to the coronavirus pandemic.
As in the humans didn't, but the cheese rolled.

They have mesh they need to put up to seperate the racers and spectators... somebody needs to mow the, porta potties, first aid team, honestly there's not a lot but there its not like they just show up and everything's ready to go.
