These figures were awesome, I had a lot of them when I was a kid.

I remember having these toys as a kid. Some of them even had special 800 numbers you could call, to get a recorded message from the character you just got out of the box.

It is really unfair to say that Gobots were a rip offs of Transformers. Gobots actually beat the Transformers to the market. Also Gobots were sold in Japan since 1982 under the name Machine Robo. Granted the Transformers toys also were sold in Japan before becoming the "Transformers". But transforming robots was the norm in Japan and the Transformers and the Gobots were not the first to introduce transformation.

Not only the rip off of The Transformers. But the Gobots have their own movie, but people they say is not dramatic than Transformers

I never had the 5 inch figures but I loved the ghostlings. Weird Wolf was my favorite.

They made a hologram of the sculpture, there was no photograph. That's a 2 step transfer hologram, so it's actually a hologram of 2 holograms; the regular character, and the alter-ego character with the supernatural abilities.
