Orlando to Chicago! | Two Day Road Trip & Arts Festival

After four weeks in Florida it's time to go back to Chicago! We end our first travel day in Nashville and love the hotel we have for the night. The next day we make it to Chicago before the sun sets. Our neighborhood has an art festival going on so we visit that before unpacking. What do you think of our new artwork? We are so happy to be home!

I like the Notebook, but it makes me cry too much so I can only watch it once in a while! Kitchen toys are the best! My go-to for the grandkids! James is a road trip champ! One thing at a time unpacking...

I have to say, Peter, that I'm a Hilton loyalist! It sort of happened accidentally when I started traveling for work. We all got to pick our own hotels, and on my first trip I traveled with someone who was a Hilton person, so that's where I landed (we did have some people on our team who were Marriott people). I've now stayed in Hilton hotels all across the country and I'm generally pretty impressed. Their brand equivalent of this is definitely the Home2Suites. It used to be Homewood Suites (which still exist), but this is a new brand that's trying to appeal to a younger/hipper/more nomadic population. I only stayed for a weekend when I went a few weeks ago, but it's definitely designed for longer stay guests. That was a wildly long ramble about a passing comment, but just thought you should know :P
