Dave Mason "Feelin' Alright" is an incredible song, so is Tony Patler on keyboards, WOW!!! Saw Dave Mason in Barre VT Oct. 3 2015, has to be one of the Best performances I've ever seen, Unforgettable show for me, I'll never forget it!!!
Still crushing it after all these years & as great a player as Rock & Blues will permit it's great to see he still has it all & how great is Jason Roller on guitar, it's no wonder Dave took him on as that boy can stretch some wires for sure. Jason has a CD out of his own stuff & it's as good as you hear him play in these few performances with Dave & this hot as sin band. Best version of this classic I've heard. 🎸🎶🔥
I love me some Dave! I see him anytime he comes near my area. saw him 4 times in 5 years until this pandemic stopped live shows for now but love his Dave Mason and the Quarantines livestreams!
A one of a kind song by a one of a kind singer/songwriter, I've always dug listening to Dave Mason. This is an infectious song to jam to, if you only had one song to jam with, this would work!
Dave Mason composed Feelin' Alright way back in the day. Covered by the best... Grand Funk Railroad, Joe Crocker and so many others. But nobody plays it like he does!
Agreed....and I am a bass player who played this very song today at a gig...he's got the right patch that sounds like a bass thumpin' away and he is playing realistic bass runs, not just hitting the root notes.
Wow that was the keyboardist... very impressive. I was wondering if they were hiding the bass player or if his/her part was dubbed into the live track.
filemmmonger Dave didn't introduce the strongest part of the rhythm section. The drummer kicked ass. Great ensemble. Leave it to Dave to have a brilliant group completing this live performance.
Been A Dave fan since the 70's .Always a great , consummate musician . The keyboard solo does really fly . Hate to rub salt , but I'm going to see him again in Napa ,CA on 9/17/2017 .He's on tour now , I think .
I saw Dave Mason once at a casino a few years ago it was great..he does a lot of really good live versions of songs. I can't remember for sure but I thought back then he had 5 people in the band and some black guy playing bass.
The Loveless Cafe is right! What is with the stiffs in the audience? Why aren't they showing any love and movin' with the groove?! I sure will be when I see Dave tomorrow night!
Those early Traffic and solo albums were so good, a very special body of work. Decades later, Dave's material holds up well, although I much prefer the groove on the original over this version. And if anyone had ever tried to write a song expressly for Joe Cocker to sing, this would be it.
mason plays the 12 string on studio version of hendrick's All along the watchtower- Jimmy yelled at him cause he just couldnt get it right...lol- such a studio perfectionist!!
He wrote the song. Like John Fogerty wrote Proud Mary. Fogerty was called by Tina Turners people asking if she could cover his song. He was happy as hell and was honoured to have her sing his song.
@@shawnyoung8752 sure he wrote the song but in an interview Mason himself raved about Cocker's cover. It's baffled me why Mason's other awesome song "Sad And Deep As You" didn't receive as much attention.
Unsolicited opinion? This version…big no. Flat, downbeat grove; altered chords and melody…what not to do with a classic song. The obvious attempt at the brick house thing didn’t have the funk to hit the mark. And don’t get me started on why a 12 string is a poor choice for this situation.
I love this song. We play it all the time when we play out.
Give respect to your drummer. He more than deserves it!!!!!!!
Drummer must be invisible
May be on the lamb. Lo
He forgot to introduce him too
Great stuff - Great stuff - Great stuff - everything - every one of these musicians - and one of my all-time favorite rock tunes.

What a KILLER Version, Dave is the Shit!!
How great to hear him calling out his back-up musicians! Respect.
A one of a kind song by a one of a kind singer/songwriter,
I've always dug listening to Dave Mason.
This is an infectious song to jam to, if you only had
one song to jam with, this would work!
Enjoyed it all so much . Thanks!!!. love the leads Jason .
Dave Mason wrote one of the most covered songs from the 60"s. EVERYBODY was doing this song.
I "feel" the love & the groove! Great one....thanks Dave!
Thank you so much!!!
Great to see Dave still playing so well.
Its good to know there are still great musicians out there playing real music.
Just saw Dave at the Ryman. INCREDIBLE!!!
Dave Mason composed Feelin' Alright way back in the day. Covered by the best... Grand Funk Railroad, Joe Crocker and so many others. But nobody plays it like he does!
One of my favorites. So many great bands.
Grandiosa performance. Thank you Music City Roots!
Saw him Friday night ..He's a awesome musician. .Feeling alright. !!!
Thank you Music City for this Shit!!❤️🤠👍🎶🎹🎸🍷🎵💥
Takes me back to the early 70's and Alone Together, Lifelong Fan DM!
Love it when Dave gets funky!
That keyboard player does a hell of a job holding down that bass part while playing his solo!

I'll be there too
Great performance. Being a guitarist the solo on this version of one of all time favorite Mason tunes is just excellent.
Who is that guitarist? Jason something. I agree this is one of the best solos I’ve ever heard. He’s got that Suhr smokin.
Saw him a couple of weeks ago, amazing and sublime!
The guitar player is a bad ass for sure! Awesome feel.
He's playing with Alabama now. Jason Roller.
Jason Roller is amazing in this piece.
I like this
The 'glance' by the drummer to Jason at 3:52 after a hellfire lead...classic.
Feeling Alright 😊💜☮️🎼🎸
Absolutely....Feeling Alright!!!!
EXCELLENT "GRATTEUX" avec mon ami Dave !!!
Dave Mason .. acojonante !!
Siempre desde Traffic hasta ahora.
Gracias.
Good music warms the soul.💎💎💎💎👑👏
I didn't recognize Dave without hair, but my word I can't forget his voice.
funk jazz. back in that corner mayne, early 2000's new york city, you know how it is
Killer song to play live! So many ways you can take it! And can give everyone a 'lil (i.e. keys, bass, drums and guitar, and horns if you got 'em).
all I can say is damn that was great.
can't believe it's about 50 years since he wrote this classic rock song
what a great groovin version,He's perfected this one through out the years. Who is the bad ass drummer ?
Dave rocked it
This is the real story of man
cool times of rockin' beauty
Gearing up for his performance tonight at Payomet. Psyched!
Oh My .......OH MY!
Love it Oh the memories...
I must admit that Dave Mason might be my old time favorite rocker! Maybe beating out the Gangster of Love!
NOT "Old" time but all-time!
... great funk !! ... SALUT !!
He has the right to play this song his way, as he was the man who wrote it.
Woot woot!
Dave Mason "Feelin' Alright"

Is not a BLACK guy a people ?
mason wrote some fabulous songs. wonder how many millions has big hits sold by all artists?
Did Dave Mason play with Leon Russell & Joe Cocker mad dogs and Englishmen tour?
The Loveless Cafe is right! What is with the stiffs in the audience? Why aren't they showing any love and movin' with the groove?! I sure will be when I see Dave tomorrow night!
Hey wait a minute! I was brought up Presbyterian! Make that Baptists or Lutherans and I will agree with you. :-D
Go Dave go.
Those early Traffic and solo albums were so good, a very special body of work. Decades later, Dave's material holds up well, although I much prefer the groove on the original over this version. And if anyone had ever tried to write a song expressly for Joe Cocker to sing, this would be it.
NICE CUT..
Grand Funk Railroad did a great version in 1971!
You ain’t lying 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Good times
Jason Roller brilliance on that lead break.
this version is surprisingly awesome
Tom DeMille A bit of trivia: At a concert I attended, Dave said he wrote the song at 19 years old. He said money from the song paid for 3 divorces...
Did the Neville Brothers ever cover this tune? If they didn’t, they missed a beautiful opportunity!
Hip shakin spinnin all night long
Cuál es el nombre de el guitarrista, es muy sobresaliente su actuación 👍👍
Don´t forget the drummer , big Drums !
Oh yeah
Juicy!
Dave Mason is genius
mason plays the 12 string on studio version of hendrick's All along the watchtower- Jimmy yelled at him cause he just couldnt get it right...lol- such a studio perfectionist!!
Does anyone know what two chords Dave is playing? Most tabs say C& and F7 (or F). He seems to be sliding the same fingering up the fretboard
OMG
3'28" comienza la accion 3'48" acaba consecuentemente el peasooo baterista dice yeahhhhhhhhhh 3; 54"
Alguien sabe cómo se llama el guitarrista?
Who knows the drummer name? I saw him with Boby Parker in concert, so I believehe is a fuk... awesome drummer. but I dont know his name.
Alvino Bennett
Who is the guitarist backing up Dave Mason on this live video, Jason ???? WHO????
Who ist the guitarrist left side from Mason?

is that audience dead or alive?
They had to leave their hearing aid before entering, you never know with all these terrorists blowing up bombs etc
The 67 dislikes are just Australians liking it :)

Is this not Mr Magic?
Who was the bassist??? Jason ?????
The 2nd guitarist is Jason Roller a native of Indiana now living in Tennessee.
Where's the bass player?
Keyboard player running the bass line with his left hand
Why never introduced the drums player????? Tnx
I like the original groove better but Dave sure do write some great songs.
Substantially different than the Joe Cocker version but just as kickass
He sounds great and looks good, but i prefer the original up tempo arrangement better.
Separated at birth: Dave Mason and Ian Anderson
Needs more Joe Cocker...
Love Mason but won't spend the money on a ticket if he chooses not to use a bass player see ya later
I love Dave Mason from back in the seventies, but I do not like this rendition of "Doing All Right".
Justmusic 432 hz jaa... copy copy ...😎
Joe cocker truly hijacked this song and made it his own and here Mason seems to be imitating Cocker

Joe Cocker's version is way better
Great band but come on..............open your wallet and get a real bas player!!
