The noise in my ear is so loud that I need to keep the masking sounds at really high volume though my audiologist strongly advised against it. But it makes me so irritable and many times I wish I would prefer to go deaf if that can make tinnitus go away.
This is the exact sounds sleeping outside in the hot summer time in the Arkansas mountains when I was a kid growing up in the 1970s,that's where my mother and I went when school was out to see grandma and family. She was from there ,as they said the good old days😊,now maybe I can SLEEP😵

Katydids in Connecticut always started without fail in the first week of the August of my youth, during the deep days and nights of Summer. As a child, this diaphanous dirge would send me into a soporific, sonorous and scintillating sleep nightly. Thanks again for giving me back the ability to sleep.

From Kansas. Cicadas aren't out yet, so artificial cicadas it is. All I'm missing is some wind, an owl, the occasional distant passing train, and an oscillating fan.
We have the 17 year type cicadas here in PA right now! I recorded some of them, although they are a bit different from the normal ones we hear in August. Are those requests of yours for the other sounds? If so i'll see what I can do! I've been thinking about making a series of videos with fans, as I need them to sleep every night as an insomniac. There are over 100 waterfalls located within beautiful rocky gorges within a ten mile radius of the City (leading to the bumper sticker "Ithaca is Gorges"!), plus Cayuga Lake, one of the Finger Lakes. As for this soundtrack...I love it! Would have loved it even more if there was video footage from the transition of dusk to dawn, when the predawn light starts the birds singing. Perhaps that could be your next project?

My friends and I explored many in the area, including one that was just a 10 min walk from our apartment my senior year there. I miss the place! I was just thinking the other day it would be nice to have a video of night insects... and here this video just popped up in my youtube feed! For me, their sounds produce a calming effect, reducing some anxiety I feel at times. Sometimes during the summer, even though its hot I open the window just to hear crickets. My absolute favorite cicada sound is these ones the ones that sound like they're laughing kind of, so much nostalgia, I usually hear them nearing the fall here in northeast Pennsylvania, so many people here are annoyed by them but idk why, I love to leave my window open a little at night and listen to them as I fall asleep, they're so relaxing ( ◡ ‿ ◡)

I'm sorry to hear that my friend. Unfortunately, I have nothing to do with commercials in the middle of videos. I only ever allow them at the beginning, or very end, to avoid this very problem. I specifically set them all that way. However, TH-cam can place ads wherever they want and are unfortunately known for doing this in the middle of longform videos against the wishes of the channel (me), and obviously people like yourself. Just so you are aware, it is the powers that be that I am powerless against.
@@dennisrushing6011 Of course, I think it only happens incredibly sparingly. Perhaps maybe one out of every several 100 or several 1000 plays, but they have been doing it to my videos and other long form content creators. The way ads are set up for channel creators and what you can permit has also changed incredibly, you used to have a say in whether ads were placed at the beginning, middle, or the end of videos, as well as what type of ads you want (skippable vs non skippable, overlays, etc.) Now, there are only 2 options: 1) all types of ads, displaying at the beginning, throughout, and at the end of videos. 2) Same as above except omitting them throughout the video. I always choose this option to omit them throughout the video so people can be undisturbed, but, as we can see, this is not always the case. My guess is this is happening in hopes that more people will subscribe to TH-cam premium. Anyhow, that's the story, Appreciate you listening and your response!

Had a katydid in the house the other day and wanted to catch him and made sure he went free and safely 😁 thankfully he didn't do the calls of his people xD and living in the country in south is pure magic

Oooo, I love these sounds. They remind me of the many summer nights that my sister and I spent in Mississippi. I still hear the cicadas when I go back to my grandparents’ house and it makes me so happy. Thank you very much (from Houston).

I live in ustate NY, and this sounds just like my backyard in the summer where I often sleep out under the stars. What a welcomed sound in the dead of winter!

Also- I absolutely love upstate NY. I used to live in Ithaca for 4 years and Rochester for 2 years. Went to school up there in early/mid 2000's. When life allows, I want to make it back up to Ithaca to film some of the beautiful waterfalls I saw 20 years ago!

@@NatureSleepSerenity I also lived in Ithaca, and it is truly a beautiful area! There are over 100 waterfalls located within beautiful rocky gorges within a ten mile radius of the City (leading to the bumper sticker "Ithaca is Gorges"!), plus Cayuga Lake, one of the Finger Lakes.
As for this soundtrack...I love it! Would have loved it even more if there was video footage from the transition of dusk to dawn, when the predawn light starts the birds singing. Perhaps that could be your next project?

My friends and I explored many in the area, including one that was just a 10 min walk from our apartment my senior year there. I miss the place! Although I hear it has changed and unfortunately become more commercial/mainstream...

I remember this, it sounded like this for most of my life.... But its near silence now. All built up, just soulless sounds of cars and planes. It sucks.

I was just thinking the other day it would be nice to have a video of night insects... and here this video just popped up in my youtube feed! For me, their sounds produce a calming effect, reducing some anxiety I feel at times. Sometimes during the summer, even though its hot I open the window just to hear crickets. My absolute favorite cicada sound is these ones the ones that sound like they're laughing kind of, so much nostalgia, I usually hear them nearing the fall here in northeast Pennsylvania, so many people here are annoyed by them but idk why, I love to leave my window open a little at night and listen to them as I fall asleep, they're so relaxing ( ◡ ‿ ◡)

I'm sorry to hear that my friend. Unfortunately, I have nothing to do with commercials in the middle of videos. I only ever allow them at the beginning, or very end, to avoid this very problem. I specifically set them all that way. However, TH-cam can place ads wherever they want and are unfortunately known for doing this in the middle of longform videos against the wishes of the channel (me), and obviously people like yourself. Just so you are aware, it is the powers that be that I am powerless against.
@NatureSleepSerenity I didn't realize that about the commercials, and I appreciate you responding to my post.
@@dennisrushing6011 Of course, I think it only happens incredibly sparingly. Perhaps maybe one out of every several 100 or several 1000 plays, but they have been doing it to my videos and other long form content creators. The way ads are set up for channel creators and what you can permit has also changed incredibly, you used to have a say in whether ads were placed at the beginning, middle, or the end of videos, as well as what type of ads you want (skippable vs non skippable, overlays, etc.)
Now, there are only 2 options:
1) all types of ads, displaying at the beginning, throughout, and at the end of videos.
2) Same as above except omitting them throughout the video. I always choose this option to omit them throughout the video so people can be undisturbed, but, as we can see, this is not always the case. My guess is this is happening in hopes that more people will subscribe to TH-cam premium.

Hi Michelle! Thank you so much for stopping by. It was recorded in my backyard. I live in Eastern Pennsylvania, about 25 to 30 miles north of Philadelphia. It was toward the end of August and that night they were all singing clearly and loudly.
