last question can't you just leave it as 3 root 4

+MaGicZz Sub2Me If the question says "simplify" then you need to break down to its smallest form. root 4 is equal to 2. therefore 3 root 4 breaks down to 3 x 2 = 6. so you should break it down as far as it can go.
