  • In this inspirational talk with a period of meditation, Self-Realization Fellowship monk Brother Muktananda draws from the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda to offer practical and powerful tips on acquiring this most important quality of evenmindedness.
He emphasizes that the profound sense of stillness that we can obtain in meditation can be brought into our activities to help us remain poised and centered - as we learn not to take life too seriously but instead to see our daily battles from the perspective of divine wisdom and growth.
The Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons, Paramahansa Yogananda’s home-study course, provides the meditation techniques and teachings needed to experience evenmindedness as an aspect of balanced living, and to discover our blissful soul-nature. To learn more: srflessons.org
In his talk Brother Muktananda shares wisdom from Paramahansa Yogananda’s translation of and commentaries on the Bhagavad Gita, God Talks With Arjuna. To learn more: bookstore.yogananda-srf.org/p...

A wonderful and inspiring talk. Thank you brother Muktananda! Guilt is a huge burden we can't afford to indulge in while expecting to progress in life. Blessed with the spirit of God in our hearts we know we are loved and forgiven. It sometimes requires a huge effort to overcome past errors, injustices and false teachings that taught us us to loath our self, and to believe we are worthless in the eyes of God. I allowed guilt, fear and loss of self-esteem to ruin the best years of my life. When Journey to Self-Realisation fell into my hands I inwardly knew Guruji was God inspired. He has been, and continues to be, a faithful blessing and huge inspiration to the world through SRF teachings.
    Jai guru. 😀❤🙏

Bro Muktanandaji, SRF, Guruji thank you so much for your wonderful timing. I’ve been in a type of unpleasant situation, replicating itself (almost identically) on a few occasions recently. I was saying to Guruji today, I know you’re trying to teach me something here and then hours later -this talk and it’s pretty clear what he wants me to learn! Love and respect to all involved in bringing these talks to us. A special prayer from me for your happiness and peace, always. 😊🙏💕

Thank you for all the great tips for remaining unruffled, being in even mindedness. I immediately enjoyed viewing this world, even experiences of today as a dream. That certainly lightened me up. That was such a cool unspoken message/lesson you got from your Dad's unruffled reaction to saving your life on the cliff. Another nugget is the tip for resentment prevention with zero expectation from others.

Excellent Lecture Brother! I have much work to do in evenmindeness yet, I am making progress! I was surprised recently to discover that it wasn't Jesus who said, "whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap..." it's from St. Paul in his letter to the Galations. (6:7). Jai Guru!!
