Preview Painting Winter Wonders with Shanna Kunz

This is a preview from a full length video with SHanna Kunz. In this video, we will paint a high key winter scene using cold wax medium and Gamblin Fast Matte Alkyd white to create a faster drying, thicker texture on the surface. We use a limited palette of greys: White, Richeson Brilliant Yellow Light, Naples Yellow Light, Gamblin Portland Grey Warm, Gamblin Portland Grey Cool, Richeson Kings Blue, Yellow Ochre, Cobalt Blue, CAS Alkyd Cerulean Blue, Raw Umber, Daniel Smith Raw Umber Violet and Gamblin Torrit Grey. This is mostly all yellows and blues with a bit of violet in an attempt to keep the painting feeling warm and sunny. I use Claessens 13 linen on a 12×12 panel.
