You might be right in the last chapter we confirmed koji has clairvoyance and is able to see the events of the future theres multiple scenarios where boruto dies and the world ends

It took them the entire run of Naruto to explain the extent of a Sharingan. So they could end up doing something similar to the Jougan. When it comes to the Karma Seal, that's more like the Jinchuriki, both have powerful beings sealed into one's body, both allow them to call upon power that isn't their own, and they both have the chance to lose themselves to the being inside of them. My guess is that the Boruto's Seal and Jougan are linked somehow, and it only makes it easier for them to go over the extent of the seal before they go over the Jougan.
@@FerociousMitas seen in the fight against momoshiki though, boruto already activated the jougan before he got his karma. They could be linked regardless, but the jougan is not a result of the karma.

@@tonysal459 I'm not sure, it has been said that several changes will take place when the scene from chapter 1 actually happens, since being the very beginning of the Manga they didn't have a fully decided design for everything, if it's the jogan in chapter 1 of the anime I believe boruto will eventually get it in two blue vortex
The eye seems to have the power of giving Boruto the powers he needs at any specific point in time to accomplish a goal. Boruto does not have control over it yet and it triggers in situations which can alter his fate. When he gains control, he will be able to use it at anytime.

We still have no clue what its attack abilities are but we know a few other abilities -Teleportation? He reached mitsuki and sumire way to fast -Chakra pathways and weak points -possibly clairvoyance -time manipulation maybe?

Calling it from now, the jougan will allow Boruto to travel to alternate timelines, and he already did this unknowingly in the Nue arc
