I have a question my friend, after a full engine service, how purge the oil circuit, and the gasoil circuit ? I just made a full reconstruction of my m57d30 but i am worring for my dry timing chain tensioner and the rest of the engine. Thank you, merci
Thanks for your quick answer, i appreciate . Ok for the oil i can let it crank by starter while the injectors are unpluged. Do you think i can purge the fuel circuit by loosen the line at the exit of the fuel pump ? Because with the intake manifold it will be hard to purge an injector, that's why i prefer to ask
@lef4620 je pense tenter comme ca, il me semble sur l'injecteur n°1 j'ai accès au raccord mais les autres non ( sauf si j'enleve le collecteur d'admission). Il faut surtout que je fasse monter l'huile dans le moteur (tendeur de chaine sans huile j'y crains !) . C'est mon 1er moteur m57 et ben ca change des autres à refaire de AàZ, bien foutu

@@narcoti that's the game of reliability bets Of you're not familiar just Google MTBF curve, basically it's just a matter of statistics, you're more likely to destroy your chain in this period but many things to consider such as the way you drive and maintain the car. Nevertheless when it's known and prone to fail it's a good practice to replace the parts as preventive maintenance, of course if you intend to keep the car
@@MickNavarro I'm very familiar with mean time before failure. Unfortunately there's no number given by the manufacturer on the MTBF of the timing chain.
what could be wrong with my m57n engine drove almost knowing that injector 5&6 are to be replaced,,, park it remove intake remove the two injectors replaced with the same part numbers,,, done try to start it to register them to dme but engine is locked up,,, what could be wrong please help

Има едно чукане като работи , сякаш отпред се чува. Първия път го отдолу като сменях масло или колектор, не помня но бях отдолу при запален двигател и имаше едно чукане . Та се чудя дали не е верига или е нещо друго . На 155к мили е . Ще опитам да направя запис , ако мога да ти го изпратя някъде . Имаш ли идея на първо четене от къде може да е този шум и какви са признаците на веригата ?
abrahem AL GAMEDI Yes. 2.5 litre Turbo Diesel. Mine has covered 250,000 miles on original chain and well maintained. But has never missed an oil change. Goes to show. Keep em well oiled.

At how many km do you recommend to replace the timing chain on an m57? Currently making 360ps 760nm to the wheel. 296km
he says 250mkm to 300mkm, mine is 262mkm and i guess i can hear the chain touching the timing cover, now i'm waiting for my febi kit....

For this engine m57 3.0d and 2.0d you don’t need change timing chain never you can drive 1 milion km without problems

Ще правя процедурата за верига при 2.5 тдс, правил ли си им? Колко по-различно е?
Горе-долу процедурата е еднаква . Все пак M57 е надграден върху базата от M51
