They may not care about visuals but visuals do make the presentation feel professional and professional looking presentations look more like documentaries and it will impress which will affect the grade

@@Nmixxer14 I ended up finding it Powerpoint was just being silly and greying it out. I fixed it by going to Arrange and checking if it was grouped. After I verified it wasn't grouped, Powerpoint recognized its mistake and it worked next time.

The design without the information is great as a introduction/opening piece. When it comes to presentations, I recommend not to use animations due to time spent up "stage" and that it can feel tacky at a point. It should be straight to the point. The original "don't do this" is actually fine in it of itself. It could use some work, sure, but it's absolutely fine for a class presentation since the general format is clear and to the point.

I still remember how I went to study in France for a masters after my first degree and 2 years in leading advertising agencies. We needed to make a presentation, I made a neat presentation, not over the top, just some design and inforgraphics. And that “genius of a teacher” criticised me in front of everybody saying presentation should just be black text on white. Oh her students will be in for a surprise in the business and corporate world 😊
luckily my teachers couldn't care less how creative but how much good content is in there without cluttering. but wow powerpoint is so good now compared to years ago

filter image searches in google by resolution
Make sure you're looking at the pixel resolution in the bottom right-hand corner in Google Images. The higher, the better.
you can filter by image size in google! in the image search, click on “tools” and then select large for the size
in the top of your image search there's a button that says tools, click that then size>large you get images that fit.
