What do you think of this van build so far? Have you seen any mistakes or have any suggestions to help Blake on his quest for the perfect MTB van build? 📲 Here's the teaser! 👉 th-cam.com/users/shortskx-qAkOdyGA
You and Martin are doing such a good job. If you want to get rid of the bad smell get a ozone generator 8hrs and the smell should be gone. You should be able to rent one, restoration companies use them a lot. You should be able find them in your local tool rental stores.
Van is looking great Blake can't wait to see the finished build Nice wheels you teased at the end 👊 The colour will obviously be GREEN as you keep saying it's your favourite colour. Martyn you have fans too not just Blake 😂👍👊 Awesome stuff #gmbn 🤘
i just binge watched the whole series up to this point. im glad i came in time to see progress! im looking at my truck now, and thinking i could probably do something with it!
Well knowing Blake I would be a bit surprised if the color of the Van is not green. But hey whatever color he goes for I'm sure it will look super good!
sweet! I have been waiting for a Van Build update! The ladder looks totally sick. love it. aaaand damn, you are gonna owe Martin HUGE for doing all that work on his own. LOL Cheers, lads!
Great work guys. Keep an eye on that door. Quite a few companies have developed wheel door mount options for transit which have all been discontinued because of hinge issues. Not as strong as sprinter / crafter hinges.
Great project to follow and an awesome build 🥳 Only remark I've got is that I just can't stop wondering wat the final weight will be using such heavy materials (steel instead of aluminum, heavy plywood instead of lighter alternatives like poplar plywood or even foamed pvc or honeycomb panels. Oh and regarding the color: Jeff the Jeep green of course and some cool liveries to finish it off!
Have missed the van build glad to see it back! It's going to be awesome! My next van might have to be a lwb high top to have room for work tools and bike stuff! Keep up the good work!
the build is looking sick. but i was wondering from the beginning about the weight. you put so much stuff in it, and not the light weight stuff. it will be massive, sturdy and secure, but will it be still under 3,5tons when you are done?
Hope the solar controller one that can step up/down the input voltage from the panels. Old (poor) systems rely on there being enough sun to create 12v from the panels. Any more and it can waste the extra, any less... and it can't charge a 12v battery so nothing happens. A good controller can scale the voltage it gets to 12v... so if there is 30v from the panels.. it converts it to 12v, with a decent amperage (quicker charge)... If there's grey sky, and barely 2-3v from the panels... the controller converts that to 12v but only a trickle of amps.... BUT a trickle is way better than nothing... (Actually they put about 14v to the batteries to charge but 12v is easier to understand.. ) This means when your on one of those winter overcast weekends... your battery is still getting something, from the earliest morning glimmer of usable light... right to dusk. I've had both systems... and with the older system.. in winter the batteries wouldn't start to charge until around 9am... if there was good sun.... and on some overcast days there was no charging at all... The current one we have starts charging the batteries when the panels are barely delivering 3v to the controller.
Vans looking great - but long break, safety warning at the beginning, few minutes showing tools and Blake handing over to Martin for next vids 🤔 somethings gone amiss - looking forward to next episode though 😊
Steel is a lot easier to work with, they've already said they are painting the whole van. If they do it properly then there shouldn't be any rust issues
Mr Jones is trying to stop your van turning into a Sparkler, thats why he wont let you do wiring without instruction. and I think the van should be Orange

BLAKE The van has to be military green!!!!!!
@@swhoknows6241 yeah!!
Flip the spare around so you have room for your foot when you stand on the ladder.
how many times have you banged your knees getting up on that ladder???
i would suggest straighten the ladder out!
Glad to see the project is back!
Martin is the MAN! Big up for stepping in to help in your absence.. look forward to seeing his updates 🤘🏽🤘🏽
This is going to be so epic when it's finished! Can't wait for the test video!
Yeah 100%! It already looks so good! 👍
I NEED MORE ALREADY!

It's great to see a sparky having a laugh, normally they're miserable and off site by 3.30pm
Hope you’ve considered laden weight? As you’re limited to 3.5 ton
Van is looking great Blake can't wait to see the finished build
Nice wheels you teased at the end 👊

I am pretty sure it is going to be Jeff the Jeep green ;) can't wait for it to be finished!
I agree, green is most likely the color of choice. It was prob his favorite color while in California too.🤪
Been waiting ages for this!!
Sorry about the wait! It should be back for good! 🤘

Looking Good!. I bet its going to be yellow!
Love it so far. I would absolutely love to have a van, wouldn't even have to be as awesomely built as this. Just a van would be nice.

Outstanding ....
Nicely done💥👌
Thanks! Blake is smashing this build!
I’ve waited so long for this day 😊😊
We're so stoked to have it back on the channel. 😅
plz do document, learning the most from this video. all the steel work is my style and alot easier for me to work with then other builds ive seen.
Amazing build
About time needed this
The colour is gonna be nukeproof yellow to go with Blake’s new scout
your van is coming on nicely and I can't wait to see it finished the we can go camping 😀 Can I have blue cushions😅
been waiting for you to get back to work :)
Would be great to get some shots from the inside structure of the ladder. Looks great 👍
Haven’t watched yet but I’m putting the over under of Blake talking about Tea or cake or biscuits at 10.
Pink
I was thinking the same thing. Needs to match the helmet, lol
Haha! So true! 😂
Yaaas! Love it!
Glad you enjoyed!
Ur back!
Best part of this video: "cup o' tea!"
GREEN!!!
the build is looking sick. but i was wondering from the beginning about the weight.

1st, please keep them coming sooner Blake
Hey Doc, The series should be back for good! 🤘

Bitchin.. Can't wait.
Is this Blake?

FINALLLLLYYYYYYYYY
Finally!!!
Cammouflage paint job!
Looking great, anyone else notice Blakes voice changing to that of Dusty, Sam P's house mate. Could Blake also be part Californian ?
So. Much. Welding. Do they not have aluminum extrusion and t-slots in the UK?
A lot of box section in that van now. Has it added much weight? Fuel is expensive these days 😁
Summer Martyn looks really different than Winter Martyn.
Guessing the van will be yellow!
Khaki green in Raptor paint?
What shade of green is it going to be blake
Vans looking great - but long break, safety warning at the beginning, few minutes showing tools and Blake handing over to Martin for next vids 🤔 somethings gone amiss - looking forward to next episode though 😊
My colour guess is Nukeproof Scout Yellow 😂
Or maybe pink, considering his helmet
That would look 🔥!
Did you upgrade those rear door hinges for the weight of the ladder? Seems like your failure point on that mod.
Pink van or purple maybe
When is the next video coming??
why use steel instead of aluminium on the outside? its heavy and youruin your door at some point, and rust will eat it.
Steel is a lot easier to work with, they've already said they are painting the whole van. If they do it properly then there shouldn't be any rust issues
Mr Jones is trying to stop your van turning into a Sparkler, thats why he wont let you do wiring without instruction. and I think the van should be Orange
Is it Guna be pepto bismol pink?
i'ts going to be bright pink and then blake will tell us the whole van is sponsored by Muc-off
Does Blake still have the Jeep
No JeffJeep got sold to help fund the van project.
Forest green. Where my prize at? 8D
Ahem, Z2u delivery fast ay,
Is one water bottle enough
"But who is counting" .. Half of the GMBN comunity ":O"
😅😬
Eh. Z2u delivery fast yes,
This is still a thing? I thought Blake gave up ;)
Blake never gives up! 😂
@@gmbn Excellent!
Ah! Is z2u legal? yup,
just get a jackery or eco flow don't waste your time with old school camper electrics
its mounted and cant be stolen so easy.
@@chrismade123 that isn’t a good enough reason not to have a power station
Is there a link to his instagram?
Blake and words just don't seem to get along
