This is exactly the kind of desk I needed for my future study. Old world, turn off the century, industrial, but clean and classy looking. Excellent job on this one!
Iv'e been inspired by abandoned factories as well hailing from Pittsburgh. Love the structural elements and design and colors. I really got into french industrial design of the early 1900's Art Nouveau. Structural decadence.
Fantastic! I think the red is inspired! It reminds me of steam railways, iron bridges, overhead cranes etc ... everything industrial furniture should remind me of! A really awesome piece!
Wow. Stunning desk! Watching videos like this makes welding look so easy. I need to get some plate to practice on - I just bought a welder and figured to learn I need to just start running beads! Thanks for a great video.
Wow! Just subscribed. Amazing craftsmanship Zack! Found you via Macon Campbell - really happy I followed his suggested to view your site. Learnt something on how to get a really uniform and soft finish on wood, so thanks for that.
Fantastic build man - That thing ain't going anywhere for the next few hundred years! I really liked the buffering method in the timber - final finish was really tasteful. Looking forward to your next project mate - cheers.
This table is one of the most beautiful industrial style table that I have seen. Your videos inspired me to start my own small workshop and to make furniture for my new house. Thanks man and keep going.
Man, what kind of person you gotta be to dislike this video... @ZH Fabrications: You rock, bud! Keep it that way! I am truly amazed with all your work.
It all creeps into the subconscious and finds an outlet. Sometimes it sits and grows for years before blossoming, sometimes a few days. I love it when what we study gets rearranged by our own creative juices and then births something new.
I'm still planning on driving down there for a day in your shop, it'd make a great video, and I'm sure I could learn a lot for you. Things have just been crazy with me for travel the past few months....And now we have this damned hurricane to deal with.
Awesome build. The red paint/distressed look is not really my taste, but that's just that: taste. In no way does it distract from the great creativity in this build! Thanks for sharing!
I would call that the 'vintage fire truck' desk. With all the time and effort that went into it, it is great to see such a good result, I don't think that I would have the patience.
You're a braver man than me welding in the draw runners, I end up having to readjust them half a dozen times when I make them! Came out pretty cool though.
When You weld Vertical with Mig, Always weld downhill, Gravity will help you making better smoother beats oppose to welding uphill. Fantastic Table, Gonna make something like that as well !!!
I've always wanted to try a top using side grain like that. Should prevent a lot of problems. Looks great. Just so you know, when I start buying metal working tools I'm just going to blame you for it.
I always enjoy your vids and the music you put to them. Seeing how you do these builds give me inspiration and insight to try my hand at building my own. Here's dumb question, have you ever caught your hair ablaze while welding? Lol
Thank You Zack!! I haven't had a real desk in 30 years and now I finally have one!! I absolutely LOVE it.! Thanks for making my office amazing!
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to build it--glad you like it!
What a beautiful table!
Excellent video editing, no time wasting yet covered every parts.
That is a sweet desk! I have mad respect for those that can successfully incorporate metalworking into their projects!
Thank you!
Amazing desk

Thank you!
Laying it DOWN dude! That's FANTASTIC.
Thanks Derek!
What a gorgeous project. That abandoned factory aesthetic is the best!
That's the most beautifully over-engineered thing I've ever seen. Incredible work.
Thank you!

I love your use of threaded inserts to under-mount table tops.
Thanks, keep it simple :)
Sumptuously. It's nice to look at the master's work.
:) Thank you!
I loved the minimalist type of design for the stand, and the way you edited the music into the video was very nice. Keep up the good work.
Fantastic! I think the red is inspired! It reminds me of steam railways, iron bridges, overhead cranes etc ... everything industrial furniture should remind me of! A really awesome piece!
Thank you! That was my thought as well, it almost has a golden gate vibe to it.
It is definitely one of the best industrial desks I have ever seen. Hug from Argentina.-
Thank you!
Wow. Stunning desk! Watching videos like this makes welding look so easy. I need to get some plate to practice on - I just bought a welder and figured to learn I need to just start running beads! Thanks for a great video.
Thank you! Yep, just start running beads and sticking things together. Good luck :)
I normally don't leave comments, but I just had to. Dude, absolutely amazing!!! One of the best looking desk I ever seen!
Thank you Rodney!

Fantastic build man - That thing ain't going anywhere for the next few hundred years! I really liked the buffering method in the timber - final finish was really tasteful. Looking forward to your next project mate - cheers.
Thank you! The good news is I should have another build video posted in another week or so, I just delivered another table like 2 days ago :)
Killed it bro. Your welding table cracks me up
Hah, I know right, I feel so inadequate making these huge pieces on a little tiny table :)
Some day I'll have a bigger shop.
From Trash to treasure.well done man.
:) Thank you!
Heavy is good....Harder to steal....Nice one Zack...
Thanks Malcom, this is one of my favorite builds :)
This table is one of the most beautiful industrial style table that I have seen. Your videos inspired me to start my own small workshop and to make furniture for my new house. Thanks man and keep going.

Gorgeous...and my first choice for cover in an earthquake. That thing is a BEAST. Great work.
Hah, I think the table I just finished after this build is actually even heavier-- that one should be out in a few weeks.
Thanks!
Awesome project. I always learn something (heck 20 things) watching your videos.
Thank you!
Whoa, this is really awesome. Particularly impressed by the welding jobs!
Thank you!
I don't often watch TH-cam anymore...(lack of time)
But when I do...
I watch ZH fabrications and Jimmy D. You guys are awesome
Thank you!
Beautiful desk, and great soundtrack.
Thanks Bruce!
I really like the faux patina. I’m gonna have to try that sometime. This table is so freaking cool!
Thank you!
Cool build, I picked up a few tips! I like your process, seems very fluid and thorough. The design had a retro steampunk feel to it.
Thank you! Yeah, I've been looking at a lot of pictures of old abandoned factories lately :)
It all creeps into the subconscious and finds an outlet. Sometimes it sits and grows for years before blossoming, sometimes a few days. I love it when what we study gets rearranged by our own creative juices and then births something new.
Beautiful work. Your welding looks awesome. I can't believe you sprayed the base with cans the finish looks stunning.
Thanks Bryan!
Beautiful! I've never seen that buff in stain before.
It's pretty sweet. I feel like there is no reason you couldn't use a buffer on other stains though.
Dude - incredible work. Great project and even better skills.
Thank you!
Awesome work dude! Looks great, I'm sure the customer is really happy.
Thanks!
This is quite possibly the most bad ass piece of furniture I have ever seen. Oh and I need to drop by your website and get a shirt.
I'm still planning on driving down there for a day in your shop, it'd make a great video, and I'm sure I could learn a lot for you. Things have just been crazy with me for travel the past few months....And now we have this damned hurricane to deal with.
Love the proud top. Incredible work. The finish came out great
Thank you!
Awesome build. The red paint/distressed look is not really my taste, but that's just that: taste. In no way does it distract from the great creativity in this build! Thanks for sharing!

Came out great! Really like how you did the drawers, and the finish on the metal and wood both are top notch.
Thanks Caleb!
Impressing work. Love all the original finishes. Thank you!
I would call that the 'vintage fire truck' desk. With all the time and effort that went into it, it is great to see such a good result, I don't think that I would have the patience.

I've always wanted to try a top using side grain like that. Should prevent a lot of problems. Looks great. Just so you know, when I start buying metal working tools I'm just going to blame you for it.
Hah, no problem--let me know if you have any questions
looks great! And I'm shure, it's sturdy enough to put your car on it for maintenance!
I thought about putting my motorcycle on it for a picture--too much work :)
I always enjoy your vids and the music you put to them. Seeing how you do these builds give me inspiration and insight to try my hand at building my own. Here's dumb question, have you ever caught your hair ablaze while welding? Lol
That's great to hear Jason, thank you.
And no I haven't had that issue, although I did cut my hair right after this video :)
Hey beautiful desk. I love watching you work. What's in the cutting fluid you mixed up.
Thanks! It's just mineral spirits and whatever light machine oil I have close, usually around 10:1 ratio
ZH Fabrications good tip thanks
Dope jams. I gotta get a wire welder. Nice work all around.
Thank you!
Awesome piece! Great video! I would love to hear about the buffed on stain and finish, never seen or heard of that before.
Thanks! I think it was originally made for floors, so it's fairly heavy duty. I'll definitely be using it again :)
I just found your page and I have to say that your work is amazing!!
Love your work, nuff said
Thanks!
