    Having no neck heel makes some scales (Eb Major) and transition to thumb position very difficult. I have owned this bass for several years and I have yet to see someone address this problem.

    Difference/comparison between a Ibanez UB804 and a NS Design WAV4? I know the scale lengths are different- anything else that would make one choose the slightly higher priced NS over the Ibanez?

      the NS Design WAV4 has a radiused fingerboard.

    Doesn’t sound as good as my Yamaha SLB 300, a better alternative, I believe!

      I'd say it is the amp and strings, I've watched videos about this EUB with better sound. The SLB 300 costs 5k, so IT MUST sound better to justify that ridiculous price tag.

    I have just returned mine. I don´t like the sound, it is not like a double bass, is like an electric fretless bass. The d´ dario chrome strings are not suitable for this kind of bass, they sound to metallic to my taste. may be GHS flat wounds or Galli jazz flats, they are smoother and warmer

    Sounds great, but why not just just get a fretless bass guitar? Its the same string length as this Ibanez upright

    • @Ukescom
      @Ukescom 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question. There is a different feel to playing with an upright bass for someone who is used to playing that way.

    • @GdabZ
      @GdabZ 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can play it with a bow, which is really more difficult on a standard bass, fretless or not (except the first and the last string)

    • @glennlopez6772
      @glennlopez6772 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good question.
      Those playing a fretted bass instrument who like the sound of an upright bass and the way the strings snap (not break), would more likely choose this type.

    • @nickdangerca
      @nickdangerca 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a fretless but it doesn’t sound like a standup. pino palladino or the weather report guy( blanking right now) is the sound you get
