I'm sorry I had to laugh😂. I'm impressed by how you were able to take on the challenge of teaching, putting myself in your shoes, I'd have started sweating, and shaking. Omo I'm happy for you Sha. Ps: I really enjoy your videos, and I'm a big fan, followed you on Instagram, but can't locate your Twitter handle. I really wish to meet you in person whenever I get an admission to study in the US.❤️
The teaching thing wasn’t easy at the beginning , but I’m now used to it sha.😅 Awww, thank you. I’m glad to know you enjoy my videos ❤️ My Twitter handle is iam_tessybee I hope to meet you in the US also!
Hi TessyB, Thanks for sharing this. Just being offered GA position and I've been thinking about what it's going to be like. Your video is expository and I believe I will do well too. So, how's TA going? Trust you are now proficient with the use of the Modern equipments there😊
Congratulations on your GA position. I am now way more comfortable TAing and yes, I’ve gotten very familiar with the analytical instrument here. I wish you the best on your new position 😅
I had same experience during AGE202. I went blind. Water gushing out of my eyes. Huge pain in my eyes. Crying profusely. I was carried from Awo Hall to Health centre. I missed exams. Two of my classmates also had the attack. Since then, I don't joke with protective goggles.
Thanks for sharing with us dear. Please did u apply for the teaching assistance before going there or were u given that opportunity when u went to de state?? I contacted 2 professors for teaching assistance, but none replied.
My admission came with a teaching assistantship offer. TA offer does not exactly come from professors, it comes from the department, while research assistantship offer comes from professors. So you are supposed to contact the graduate coordinator not professors.
My sis had a very similar experience and yes she used eye mask, then she woke and the next morning and had your experience. So it's a thing. It could also be the chemical like you said. Besides, I would love to ask that if I'm applying as an undergraduate to the US but I'm in my 300 level presently in Nigeria can I come in as a freshman and pretend never to attend a university? Or I must apply as a transfer student. Thank you.
@@joyceroque1379 no. When I got my admission to study, I was also given funding in form of teaching assistantship. So while studying, I would also teach twice in a week and in return my schooling expenses was covered.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sure you'll never work in the lab now without your goggles 😀 Safety is a top priority in my school also and the lab managers really frown when students don't use the safety goggles especially. The safety thing is really serious here, and now that I've heard your experience, I will be more intentional about it too. I'm also a new chemistry PhD student resuming this fall and starting lab session next week. May our village people not get to us 😀✌🏽
